He tilted his head as he listened to her explain the situation with the spider then he smiled It seems I have failed in my duties in protecting you then He pricked his ears as the equine nibbled along his spine before comforting the mare with his words No worries, there is no harm in that He spoke stepping forward to touch noses with the mare before tugging on the mare's silky black mane. You are with me now He said calmly, dipping his head to the mare. He was one who used formalities often for it was how he was raised, a good leader must always good manners no matter the situation.

No you have not failed you duties how were you suppose to know a spider was going to attack my nose? She was still looking down and away from him, harks tipped his way as he spoke softly and touched her nose and tugged on her ebony locks. I know im with you now. Aphrodite sighed and raised her crown as he dipped his crown to her, you are much to kind she spoke softly. There is harm in nibbling upon your flesh that is suppose to be the one who you love doing that and its much to early, I need a few minuets to myself. She was not good in these situations and so she turned and high tailed it out of there, soon she reached a desert looking place and she found a slopping hill but that just would not do, so she soon found a nice sturdy flat red rock and climbed it. Standing upon it she breathed a long need breath and began to think about every thing maybe this was a bad idea to come here but how was she suppose to know theses feelings would spike. She stared off at nothing just stared, banner flicked once and awhile; tresses caught the dry hot wind and danced upon it, there just seemed to something about her coat and the way it looked redder with the setting sun but she did not care, she did not even flinch. She just went into deep thinking.

He raised his head and watched as the equine ran off. His ear flicked backwards, he wasn't exactly sure why the mare ran off. No matter The stallion flicked his tail a few times before taking a sip of water from the creek then striking the waters with a heavy hoof serveral times, splashing the water upon his face then he shook his head, throwing his long forelock over his eyes again in its usually veil like position. He turned around slowly then walked off deeper into his lands. As he wandered deeper into his territory, the treetops of the trees seemed to edge closer blocking out all sunlight. This was Crusader's favorite spot in his entire territory, indeed it was a very dark spot but it was hard to find him within its depths. The overgrown brush that grew near the trees brushed against his legs as he continued to walk through slowly. The forest floor was littered with pine nettles and leaves leaving the ground incredibly soft. The stallion looked up at the blocked out sky and flicked his ears before looking forward again, he walked a few more steps before halting beside a tall fern.

After a good long hard think, the mare lowered her crown so her forelock fell just over her left orb just like always. Rocks could be herd clattering down the edge as she shifted and moved about on top of the platform, she pranced and half reared. She was having fun and with her tresses about her she looked a little crazed. She reared and tossed her head back, banner flicking out behind her, she let a call out. She wanted him to find her and see her upon this rock, for some strange reason and all those emotions were begin to play up again. Aphrodite tossed her crown again and more rocks skittered downward but not to worry this was perfectly safe. She silently waited for him.

Crusader was observing the vivid green fern for quite awhile until his ear flicked as he heard a call in the distance. He swung his head left and right as he try to think of where exactly the call had come from. It sounded more like it came from.....Crusader's ears came forward and he cantered out of the shadows his ears still flicking this way and that as he quickly met travel over his landscape in his lengthy gaits then he stopped arubtly throwing his head up as he saw the bay equine rear atop the cliffs. He flattened his ears for a few moments and nickered loudly to the mare, a tinge of worry lingering in the booming voice. He didn't want the bay mare standing atop the sheer cliffs, he danced from side as his blue gaze took in the sandy landscape. He threw up his head again Aphrodite.. He spoke suddenly in a quiet nicker as he himself reared and pawed the air miraculously for a few split seconds before his hooves landed on the ground again. He was calm again but his head was still held high as he took in the scents that flowed on the wind's breath

She giggled, don’t go getting in tizzy im fine I will be right down. She moved with easy off the cliff and down to the sand to meet him, she pranced slightly and then neared him. Aphrodite looked at him, I need to think and clear my mind and I came to this conclusion Crusader, I love you and I don’t care if you don’t feel how I feel but im just getting my feelings out there. She shook her crown and snorted, throwing herself into a half rear and landed. She settled when she was totally relaxed, her crown lowered and it was not to be higher then his seeing he was king and that showed it. She looked at him and waited.

A sigh of relief passed from his maw as he watched the mare come down from the cliffs. He was in a state of complete calm now as he listened carefully to the bay equine's words. His ears came forward again after acknowledging them. Of course he loved her! Why would he not? It would be absurd if he didn't care for this eqiuine. Yes, yes he had only known her for a few suns, this stallion had not loved anything since he was foaled by his beloved mother. The first thing he loved had been his dam, and long ago he thought it would be his last. But now he could love something else freely, the equine that stood before him. My dear, what makes you believe that I do not love you? He flicked his tail across his flanks as he lowered his head I shall speak these words carefully and truthfully, I love you, just as you love me He raised his head again after he had spoken, one of his ear flicked back as he listened to something in the distance before they pricked forward again as he observed the mare.

She snorted as a not so pleasant smell seeped into her nares, it smelt like those little fluffy black and white things you were taught to stay away from when you were a foal and if you did not well your mother would submerge you in the water until the smell went away. She shivered slightly and looked up at him, I don’t know she spoke softly. Maybe it was the lack of showing it but she really truly did not know, I love you too she spoke and then stepped near him and presses her nose in his nape, his mane cover part of her face but she did not care. Stepping back she looked up at him, crown slightly heightened but not a lot because she did not want to be mistaken. She sighed and waited for him to say something more.

He swung his head to the side, observing something a long ways away from where he was standing before he looked back to the mare and nuzzled her shoulder. He remembered that he was suppose to be showing the equine around the territory, he himself had finished exploring every single inch of his land. He touched noses with her My dear, shall I show you around my lands? He spoke flicking his ears towards the trees in the distance. He really wanted to show her around, so that she would not get lost within the lands. He did not want something like that to befall the mare.

She looked at him and then kicked her barrel as something landed on her underside. Dagger slammed into the ground, banner flicking across her flanks the bugs were quite nasty during the summer months. She snorted and shook her crown, Aphrodite then felt him touch her nose and she looked at him, yes I would like you to show me around your lands. Frame twitched as another landed upon her, she turned to nip at her shoulder. Then looked back at him, do you see yourself with a family? She spoke softly, it is something to talk about wail you show me around the lands. She gave him a smile and then moved away slightly, she was ready to see what these lands hid.

His long tail flicked against his flanks as he too felt the nagging touch of the annoying pests, but a few more quick swipes with his tail would frighten them off if not temporarily. He turned and started to walk into the trees before flicking his ear and looking over his shoulder A family? He had once thought of having a family but he never thought much else of it until the mare's words sent him thinking back towards again Why yes. I have always wanted a family He flicked his tail across his flanks scaring away the pests once more What about yourself? He asked before looking forward again before he walked into something. He pointed his nose in the direction to where the faint sound of running water could be heard In that direction is the Whispering Creek, which you have already been too already. I believe I have already mentioned that it is just about the safest places around here He ceased walking and looked behind him, remembering the sheer cliffs The desert type landscape in which you just came from, is the Foreboding Rocks, I would not necessarily call it the safest spot He spoke snorting then shaking his head as he continued speaking However there is a cave down a narrow pathway, which is completely safe, but it isn't the easiest place to get. And if it rains, the entire pathway floods, but the cave does not He said with a tone of boldness. He flicked his ear after awhile before turning again and continued walking. Seeing as most of his land was woodland, there really were not many different locations, he begun trotting now as he approached the grand meadow. He lowered his head as he sniffed at the grass This is the meadows, the best grazing area in my lands. He raised his head and turned to the mare And don't worry, this meadow is also fairly secluded as well He made sure that all grazing areas were safe, he wouldn't have any equine that was part of his herd getting hurt because of a careless mistake that he failed to attend to.

She followed along behind him, yes I have always wanted to have a family a pretty big one at that. She smiled, I don’t want to just have one child I want to have several. She spoke again, listening as the stopped, she knew were the creek was, she knew were the desert was but by the sounds of it he did not like that part of the land and then they began to trot and soon a large meadow stood before them. This is the perfect place to graze and the perfect place to let foals play seeing they wont get hurt. She trotted into the meadow and lowered her crown, begin to graze but soon stopped and walked back over to him. Aphrodite walked a circle around him and then stopped facing him, now what? She asked him softly waiting.

His ear flicked at the mention of foals It would be a great place for foals to play He said agreeing with the bay equine's statement. He watched as she grazed then as she circled him for a few short moment. I am not sure. He tilted his head, seeing as he and Aphrodite were currently the only equine in his herd, there really wasn't much to do. He lowered his head I am trying to build my herd, I allow any equine who does not have a home into my lands He said touching his noses with the mare. He would have to try and round up new members for his herd soon, he didn't want his herd to dwindle until it was just himself again. A sigh escaped his maw, he wanted foals as much as Aphrodite did. Foals were the start of a new life, and he knew foals would bring more life to his lands and make it feel more like home.

She looked at him and tilted her crown, ok she said. Knowing that eventually they would think of something to do. I know you are still building your herd and it takes time to do all that but little by little you will get there, I know you will. She nuzzled his cheek and nibbled along his nape, would you like a foal? She spoke softly stopping to look at him, it would be a good way to get the herd going some young blood with in it. She knew it would just be another herd member nothing special. Aphrodite, nibbled along his nape again and tugged on his tresses gently waiting for an answer.

He grazed for a few moments until he caught her next words. He raised his head slowly and flicked his ear then nuzzled her shoulder. A foal? Oh how he wanted a foal, that he could call as his own! Why yes He said still looking at the mare, he still couldn't believe the equine had even mentioned such a thing. A foal He truly wanted a son or daugther, oh any would do. Just to have a foal, made his young heart leap.
