Written in the sand below the clear water are the words of those that wish to steal from other herds. Stolen can be mares, foals and sometimes even land. Leads have three days and three guesses to block whom they think is being taken from them. After three days according to the staff, if not blocked, the stealer will tell who they have stolen.
