After a few more enduring moments, Jason could tell that Alyssa had finally drifted off to sleep. He could hear her soft breaths as he stared out into the darkness of the room. He was tired, but the not the kind of tired that someone would want to sleep off. He was just tired However, he was glad for the pitch black darkness that engulfed the room for it calmed him as he was lost in his thoughts. He was more or less of a thinker than anything else. And whenever the chance arisen he would would just think, sometimes on hours end. For a few moments he thought that he would never go to sleep and it was probably true, he wasn't sleepy at all, not even the slightest bit. He started to think about the past again, for that was what he usually lost himself in. He remembered his late father, who brought knowledge and everything else to him. He learned everything from his father. His mother, was still alive, and that made him happy at least. It made him feel a bit better that she had some ownership of his late father's ranch, but that could not hide the fact this his older brother, who was in his early 30s, had taken full ownership of the ranch, the horses, cattle everything. Jason's body tensed as he remembered the argument he had with his brother before he drove off that day. He could never forget it, no matter how hard he tried, he seemed to bring himself to think about anyway, as he was doing now. He hated thinking about it, he really did, but he couldn't stop himself from thinking about. Nothing could take away his past, not the present, future or anything. He stared at the darkness for a few moments longer, it was going to be a long night for him.

She was sitting in the living room, at the time she had a lot going for her. She was excited her mother had gone to the hospital to have her baby sister but when her father walked in the house she could tell something was wrong. Her father did not even attempt to tone it down no he was a man of truth and so the whole story came out. When her younger sister came home, he put her in her arms and walked out to attend to the ranch. It was hard enough for her to focus on everything, if she did not help out around the ranch or pull her weight she got a smack across the rump, so she came up with a system she would just have to take her sister with her and it worked out. When her sister was old enough she got Alyssa old horse and Alyssa moved on to Joker whom her father wanted her to train. Joker was a strong willed stallion and well she never saw it coming.
She was walking around him and it was to late, his hoof struck her knee and shattered it. Shortly after her surgery she met Jason and her father allowed her to keep Rains foal. Sometime after that he knee healed, Jazzy was finishing training and Jason had left. Thats how she had gotten here, she herd her phone on the night stand and rolled over to grab it, hello? Well she could tell her father was pissed, your sister threw herself a little party and well got herself a two second ride on a horse who was not broke and now we are on our way to the hospital. Alyssa sat up and left the room, oh really and what did she brake? Dislocated shoulder and im not for sure what else, Alyssa pinched the bridge of her nose.
Look I told her to stay out of trouble and what does she go do gets herself into trouble, once she sobers up and gets checked out by the doctor tell her to give me a call tomorrow I will be giving her a piece of mind and if she has a sever injury from this stun call me and let me know, Alyssa? Yes.. Im thinking about sending that horse up to you nobody can brake him. Thats fine, now I am going to go back to bed. They said there good byes and she clicked her phone off and went back into the bedroom setting it on the night stand, she laid down and turned so she was facing the night stand, she sighed and laid there awake.

Jason listened as the phone rang and Alyssa answered. He overheard bits of the one sided conversation Alyssa had on the phone, however he really wasn't paying attention. He noticed when Alyssa left the room and came back moments later. At first, he thought that maybe he shouldn't say anything, but then he thought that it really wouldn't matter either way. "Something wrong?" he asked knowing that she was still awake.

She turned so she was on her back when she herd him speak, just my sister causing trouble for my father. She left it at that not really wanting to go into it, she was upset that her sister would do such a stupid thing, was she trying to get herself killed? Alyssa sighed and knew she would have her work cut out for her but for some reason she had a way with horses and no one could explain it, I may be getting a new horse out of this too. She turned her head so she was looking at him, I just don’t know what has gotten into my sister. She spoke softly looking away from him.

Jason listened to her as she responded to his previous question but he figured he shouldn't ask any more questions on the subject. Who was he to ask such questions? He figured it was none of his business anyway, he didn't want to know things that were none of his businesses. In the end, he ended up saying nothing.

She moved so she was close to him, her head resting on his chest, she liked how he knew not to push a subject or asked questions seeing she did not want to talk about it. She turned so she could kiss him, you need to get some sleep she spoke softly settling back down on his chest. She sighed and then her eyes closed and she was out once again.

Jason managed to stay awake for at least another hour or two, but eventually the sleep started to come over him and he finally closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Jazzy oved picking locks and so it was not that hard for her to figure out how to get out of her stall, she trotted over to the open window of the house and pushed on the screen it gave and fell with a clattering bang, she stuck her head in and lipped around the counter tipping over things here and there and then eventually landing on the sugar as she tipped it she licked it up, she nickered softly and then snorted as some got up her nose, she shook her head ears flopping as she continued to knock things down on the counter. Alyssa herd the clattering and banging but was to tired to get up and see, she figured it was an animal and so she rolled over and continued to sleep.

Jason had finally managed to drift off to sleep but it didn't last too long when the sound of clattering, banging and things falling woke up. He opened his eyes and looked out into the darkness of the room. He had no idea what the sound was, but it really did sound like thing being knocked over and such. Eventually he sat up and looked around, although he couldn't see much in the room. When he heard more sounds, he figured it was downstairs whatever it was. Soon enough, he got out of my bed and left the room, closing the door behind him. He slowly walked downstairs, he was fully awake now.

Jazzy continued to clatter things to the floor, she almost had it that basket with the fruit just one more tiny reach and Bam she had it! She pulled it closer to her munching on an apple, then going for a banana and finally her favorite thing in the whole wide world a pear! She whickered to herself in triumph, hmmm what was that noise she herd? Oh well she reached into the basket and pulled out an orange thing, and then tossed it, it went out the kitchen and into some other humanly room, she took out another apple and munched on it all the while listening. Alyssa groaned as the noise continued and then Jason got out, now she was wide awake laying in bed waiting for the worse.

As Jason finally got to he base of the stairs he looked around then he heard more noises. He walked around for a bit around the house then he had to do a double take and he realized that he wasn't losing his mind or his eyesight as he saw Jazzy's head through the window, eating the fruit off of the counter. So she was the one making all of the racket he had heard from upstairs. "Jazzy!" he said soon after as he started to walk towards the counter.

She crunched on yet another apple and stopped mid chew as she saw there was a man standing watching her, she knew this man from earlier, he was the man that her human was doing in the tack room they must be dating or something she figured, she whickered to him and then pulled her head out of the window and trotted back to her stall, that was one thing she still needed to figure out was how to close her stall door after she opened it. Alyssa stood and walked down the stairs, she stopped and wrapped her arms around his waist, what was it? Why do you look like you just saw a ghost or something? She chuckled and then flipped the light on in the kitchen to look at the mess, she began to pick things up and put them the right way she did not want ants in the house so she swept the sugar up and waited for him to speak.

Jason sighed as he felt Alyssa's arms wrap around his waist and he watched as she cleaned up the mess that was in the kitchen and on the counter. "I didn't know your horse was the burgular type" he said afterwards as he looked around the kitchen at the mess the mare had made. For a few minutes he wondered what time it was, because he really did not know what time it was at the current moment. His gaze drifted around the room for a few moments then he let it focus back on Alyssa as he waited for her response.

As Alyssa put the last of the items back into place and shut and locked the window, she looked at him. She thought about his words for a moment and then it hit her, no she knows how to open her stall and occasionally she noses her way into the kitchen however I thought I had broke that habit, oh well. She walked over to the door and slipped her boots on and walked outside, sure enough the stall was open, she shook her head and shut it locking it both on top and the bottom lock she had installed for reasons like this. She rubbed her arms and walked back in looking at the clock it was already well past midnight, kicking her boots off she walked back upstairs and laid down in bed thinking about all the times they had some midnight fun however he still seemed different.

Jason observed the kitchen for a few more moments, he had never heard of a horse that broke in through windows. It was an ironic thought however, seeing how the mare had the kind of smarts that would cause her to go to such extremes to get out of her stall and nose through a window. He shook his head for a few moments still not believing it and he walked back upstairs, moments after Alyssa had walked upstairs. He returned to the bedroom and sat on the bed, he decided that before he laid back down he would check his phone's text messages because he knew his dear, beloved cousin usually sent him messages and such late at night at awkward and unusual hours. He scrolled through his phone and he wasn't suprised that he had gotten a message from his cousin. But he was suprised at what his cousin had sent him. Jason had to read the message twice. The only thing Jason managed to do was sigh. He read the message once more. Apparently, Jason's cousin had snuck off and bought a new horse, without consulting Jason first. Any other time it wouldn't have mattered what his cousin did but, Jason's cousin, Kyle, had managed to find himself a Mustang, a stallion and one with a temper at that. It was unbroken, it had an attitude and the list would go on. Jason sighed again. His apathetic mood had just flown away with the wind.
