Hannah ran out to the pasture, three horses stood there, grazing lazily. Her hazel eyes focused on them all, only one was hers, a chestnut red dun mare, named Bubbles. She nodded then scanned over the other two horses. Those two were boarding because they had "problems", which Hannah didn't quite get, because they were truly outstanding with her. She sighed, is was never the horse with the problems, it was the rider. She surveyed the horses as before, and stepped forward, jumping over the fence as she spotted her victim today. His name was Big Ben, and boy, was he ever. The large Warmblood lifted his head and whickered, bellowing at the approaching girl. Hannah cooed to the gelding as she slipped his English bridle over his skull.
The other two horses grazed, ignoring the action next to them, and Hannah moved forward. She stroked the big bay's neck, leading him out of the pasture. She locked the gate behind her and smiled. "Ready boy?...Here we go."
With a burst of energy Hannah climbed on top of Ben, bareback. She smiled and bent over to rub the gelding's neck. She grabbed the reins and praised him softly. "Good job.." she whispered to the horse. She clicked her tongue and softly pressed her heels into Big Ben's side, the Warmblood moved forward with a jolly pace. Hannah directed him towards the forest, she loved it there, and so did Ben. She would be sad when he had to go home, he was a good horse, but hey. Hannah still had Bubbles and Ben's stablemate, Mariana, to work with when he left in a month or so. Hannah shook her head, trying to make the though of leaving disappear, she was on him nnow, and bareback, that was good enough.
She urged him forward into a trot as they enter the forest, it was beautiful. Birds chirped overhead, squirrels and rodents scurried around below. Hannah inhaled the scent of the fresh oxygenated air and pushed Ben into a canter. She weaved him through the trail, wind rushing through her long brown hair. The teen smiled, enjoying the moment with the horse. She reined him in to a walk when they reached the river, and walked him through it quietly. on the other side, Hannah stopped the gelding and smiled, letting all be calm and still for just a moment. She looked off into the distance, rubbing her hand along Big Ben's neck. She sighed, looking into the beautiful sky, the sun was just rising, and it silhouetted the mountains perfectly. This was, indeed wonderful. Enjoying a moment in the one place where Hannah wasn't in the smoky, cluttered city. The girl and horse stood there a while more, a bareback rider and a trustworthy horse, as one.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/color]

Rachael Hardren and Remember Juliet
Don't tell her she can't do it, because she will anyway. Don't tell her she is too young, because she'll laugh in your face. Don't tell her anything, and she will surprise you in many ways.
Oh come on you cannot be THAT lazy, I haven't worked you out in so long! Rachael exclaimed, pushing a strand of brunette hair behind her ear as she asked for a jog. Again. She understood that it was so nice out, but wasn't this supposed to be the time of year, at this temperature, when horses are their friskiest. No, instead Juliet had to love the winter weather and the ice instead of the sixty degree weather. That was just oh so too warm for her. The chestnut mare just chewed at her bit as she walked on into the forest, her ears flicking back toward her rider for a second or so before listening to the other things in the forest. Rachael could have her work but when it came to Juliet she was just a big softy seeing as this was her baby.
Maybe this was just Juliet's way of getting back at Rae for not spending as much time with her as she used to. Rachael was just putting the finishing touches on Evergreen Ranch, the place that sucked up all her money and she hoped it would work out, and it had been a long year trying to get the place built and ready for business. And, of course, horses who needed a home. Finally, they entered the dense forest and the path widened considerably. Gathering up the reins, she dug her heels into Juliet and whispered, Lets go! All of a sudden, there was no more lazy horse to contend with. The muscles underneath the coat of the mare bunched up and she shot off, her eyes bright with excitement as Rachael settled in for the ride on her back, dodging branches that were sticking out. Sometimes it seemed like Juliet was trying to ram her into branches, but that was just how they went. Rae knew she was full of energy, and the only way to get it out was to run her. Of course, this was also fun for her, so it was a pretty symbiotic relationship between them.
A log ahead of them was not even an imposing threat as a smile creased Rachael's face and it seemed, if at all possible, Juliet became even happier. Gathering the reins, she grabbed some of the mane and positioned herself quickly as Juliet gathered herself before sailing over the log and landing on the other side, this time increasing her speed to a gallop. Ahead of them, though, was a definite obstacle. Another horse and rider. She doubted Juliet would even think to stop as she said Whoa and pulled slightly at the reins, but there was no stopping the mare until, OH MY GOSH, she noticed the horse and rider right there. Finally slowing down to a walk, Juliet seemed to sigh. But they were having so much fun. Rachael just hoped she didn't scare the rider or the horse. Sorry about that. She called. She wouldn't bring Juliet over there. She didn't know what the other horse was like and some horses, well, didn't like other horses to put it nicely.

Peace, Escape, Beauty, it's like LOVE
[/color] ~The first time you set foot outside of your home you inhale deeply. You take in everything surrounding you, and slowly you come out of your shell when you race down the front porch and into the tack room. Simply grabbing a bridle you already feel free.~
Hannah heard commotion in the forest, another horse, she thought it was running wild. She readied herself, but she heard a human voice. She sat back, bareback. Ben flicked his ears aside, flicking his tail he bellowed out a nicker. Hannah tugged his reins, Ben got excited around other horses. Hannah sat up straight, if Ben ran with the other horse, she would go with him, not be on the ground.
The dark bay Warmblood perked his ears forward, his chocolate eyes glistened as a gorgeous Arabian mare shot through the foliage like a baseball. Hannah gripped the reins, and pulled them back. Ben tried to jump forward, but he couldn't, so he neatly tucked his head, the dressage horse was used to this stance, so he stayed quiet. HAnnah watched intently as the Arab mare skidded to a halt, panting heavily.
"That's fine." She had some advice for this rider, and it wasn't that her horse was well trained, it was the opposite. "Do you need any help with her? I'm a horse trainer, I've trained all my horses, I could give her a tune up maybe? she seems exhausted and she shouldn't be." Hannah only gave her the truth to deal with. Arabs were energetic, snippy horses, they shouldn't be that tired after a sprint, Ben, Bubbles, and Marie certainly weren't that tired.
Hannah wondered if she sounded rude, but hey, she shook the thought from her mind. Ben whickered, touching his muzzle to the mare's neck. Her flicked his auds back as he unfolded his neck too look at the rider. Hannah tightened her legs around Ben, being bareback and having such a sudden event happen might not be the best thing to happed on the warmblood. She kept herself steady, ready for any movement.[/color][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Juliet paid no mind to the other horse, her ears turned back to listen for her rider, hoping for another cue to mean GO. Although that weed right there looked scrumptious, and she thought that it may even taste better in her mouth. Trying to dance to the side to grab it, she was met with a leg pushing against her side to bring her back to the correct place, where they had stopped before. I know your stomach never ends, but you have a pasture at home filled with such things. She looked over at the other rider. No, Juliet wasn’t actually exhausted. She was already bored that she had to stop seeing as she absolutely loved to run. She hasn’t been out in a while and didn’t like the idea of stopping so soon. She would have ran herself into the ground if I let her. No, Rachael wouldn’t have let it go that far. She loved her little Arabian too much to allow her to do such things. This was the only horse that she allowed to get away with such things. They respected each other too much to do anything SO horrid but playing games was just one of them. Rachael would never break a horse’s spirit, there was just no way. As long as they were able to ride and they respected and trusted each other, then she saw no issues with them.
Finally, Juliet looked over at the gelding, sizing him up. A good racer? Maybe. Should she taunt him and get him going? Maybe. Her devilish mind started working around all these thoughts. She hadn’t raced in a long time seeing as Rachael didn’t have any other horses yet that she could race in the pasture or anything like that. She pawed the ground a little, as if getting ready to hear the shout to run. She wasn’t done yet, and she knew Rachael wasn’t either. They hadn’t been out riding like this in a long time, and Juliet just knew they both missed it so much. Right as soon as they were done with whoever this was, they’d go back on their rampage. Rachael slipped her feet out of the stirrups and let her legs hang. She dropped the reins over the horn of the saddle as she stretched her arms out in front of her. I’m Rachael and this is Juliet, or sometimes Chaos on Legs like today. And you two are? She tried to keep politeness in her tone. Nobody was going to try and tell her what her horse looked like or how she was supposed to be acting. All horses were different and unique. Horses could not be categorized by breed they all had their own quirks and personalities and what they responded to best when it came to riding or training. When it came to she and Juliet, they had a very personal bond that they did not like to show anyone else. Some, like the girl in front of her, may think it as out of control, but as long as Rachael knew if there was some dire reason to really stop, Juliet would know it too, and that was good enough for her. Hannah looked at the mare, her eyes twinkled with laughter at the arab as she tried to lip at a weed poking out of the earth. Ben watched the mare, then looked up at her rider, cocking his head. "I see, understandable."Hannah smiled with a nod. Ben turned his head back and looked at the ground before sighing, flicking his hoof up to rest on its tip.
Hannah nodded, letting Ben have the length of the reins as long as he wasn't moving. She's beautiful," She looked at Juliet and chuckled a bit when Rachael called her 'Chaos on Legs'. Ben flicked his ears back, he could sense Juliet sizing him up, he was a good runner, never tripped, he picked up his feet, and was amazing at jumping. He smirked at the mare, flicking his tail as if making her exited for a race or something silly like that.
Hannah smiled. "I'm Hannah and this is Ben, hes being boarded, im fixing him up, even though he doesn't have any problems, his owner thinks he does." She combed her fingers through Ben's semi-tangled black mane. She looked back at Rachael. "Wanna ride?" She noticed her stretching, and she to was getting restless just sitting bareback on Ben, she felt like she was just a load on the gelding, even though it was good for him just to stand quietly.[/color][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rachael looked down at Juliet, wondering if she was even ready to do another race. She knew that was the only way her mare would even think about riding with this gelding, well at least until she knew that she was the better of the two. The chestnut mare watched him, letting the stare down continue. Oh she would be the one with the blue ribbon today, the champion while he was the chump, beat by a mare. Haha. Her blood was already starting to pump under her, and she threw her head, chomping at the bit to go. Her amber eyes locked onto Ben’s for a second as if to say “You ready for this?” Rachael pulled her in a little, making sure that in a quick flash she did not take off and leave her stranded behind. Putting her feet back in her stirrups, she made herself comfortable, turning Juliet slowly around in the other direction that they had come. The only way we’ll ride is if we leave a cloud of dust behind us. Think you can keep up? It was a friendly challenge and she bent down a little bit before saying, One, two, three GO! Right away on the sound of “go” Juliet was gone in a gallop, ready to show this gelding up. Rae didn’t need to urge her on, she just made sure to watch out for the branches. [/blockquote]

Hannah shifted on the bays back, hugging her legs to his sides. Being bareback didn't make a difference to Hannah, she could still do everything she could if she was in a saddle, but she could do it a bit better if she was in the Warmbloods english tack. She gripped the reins tightly, bending over the geldings back slightly. Ben flicked his ears forward, relaxing his body. He pawed the ground and stood by Juliet, waiting...
Go!!... They were off! Hannah paced Ben smoothly, the big gelding simply hovered over the ground with ease, muscles flexing beneath his dark coat. His ears flicked over to Juliet, only a hare infront of him. He flattened his ears, and reached his neck out. A log was coming, a big one. Hannah gripped the reins, and Ben lofted off, sailing into the air, landing a good three feet infront of the log. He took off again, at a steady but quick gallop, now he was infront of Juliet. Hannah looked behind her and clicked her tongue, the warmbloods sped up, kicking dirt onto the mares eyes as he began a quick sprint towards the edge of the forest.

So he thought that worked on her huh? He may be in front and gaining ground, however she would wait till it was her turn for the dust to slap him. She cruised over the jump, Rae rising in the saddle a little bit before settling back in and enjoying the ride. Juliet knew what she was doing, she’d just sit here and enjoy the ride.
Hooves hardly touched the ground it seemed as the gait turned into a gallop, swerving around a couple mud puddles that slowed her down before gaining speed again. A duck flew out of the bushes but it did not spook her. She was out on a mission. She was gaining on them. But she would not speed up anymore, no she wouldn’t. Muscles relaxed and she continued in the gallop. This was just an amicable race; that was all. Her ears were perked, this was all she wanted was to run, and now she had a buddy to run with. Okay, maybe not so much a buddy as an acquaintance at the moment, but you know what she means. She slowly gained before matching his pace, not pushing in front anymore as the trees cleared into a field. [/blockquote]

Ben whinnied, slowing down, flicking his tail when he burst out from the trees. Hannah stayed on his back the whole time, reining the gelding in, taking him around in circles to cool him off before turning him towards Juliet and Rachael. Ben chomped his small bit, dipping his head when he saw the mare infront of him
Hannah smiled, running her hand along the bays neck. "That was fun. I think they liked it too." she nodded to the horses. Ben pulled on his reins, aiming his neck for the green grass on the ground. Hannah let him go for it, he could relax now. The gelding flicked his ears at Juliet before lifting his head as he ate some grass. He swallowed, looking at the mare and her rider.[/size]

Rachael finally took control again and slowed her down to a jog and then to a walk. Turning her around, she looped the reins around the horn as they walked toward the other pair. Rae lifted her face a little bit, letting the sun settle against her skin, warming it from being in the trees. Birds tweeted and twittered all around them in the weeds and they finally came to a stop. Dismounting, she let Juliet graze. It was one thing she didn’t like her horses doing while she was riding was grazing. If she was off she didn’t care, but otherwise. Juliet knew this and waited until she got off to go on to grazing, the gelding almost completely forgotten. Oh yes she loves to run, there’s no stopping her if she was in a real race. Ben seems to definitely hold his own. Juliet glanced up to see him watching her and brought her head up, staring back at him, a little bit of grass hanging from her mouth. Rae scratched her shoulder. Just like men did not get women, she did not get her horse. Maybe that was for the better.
