History!!!!
Cal was a halter horse for many years when he was a bit younger, around his first year up to his third year. He had the right build and he always placed in the smaller shows but he could never make it to the big competitions, there were always bigger and better made horses, so at 4 years old he was started off in regular ranch work things, herding cattle etc Originally, he was a barrel racing horse at 6 years, but the girl that rode him did not want him anymore. So he was sold again, this time he was just rode on trails and entered in cutting and trail competitions every now and then. He won every now and then but he was just entered in competions to just give him some hard work to do. There is nothing that is too hard for this aged gelding. He still has that good conformational build but he also has alot of heart that goes good for his part in competions. He came into Jason's hands at 8 years old, and Jason hasn't been competing him at all. Basically he has been taking Ol Cal out on trails and such but Jason had never summed up the courage to compete with the gelding.
