Name: Gatsby
Show Name: Gold-Hatted Gatsby
Age: 5
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Thoroughbred
Height: 16.1 HH
Physical Description: Gatsby is a tall horse with a long, aristocratic face. He is flea-bitten gray in color, his muzzle a dark gray. As far as is visible, he is unmarked. His pelt bears black marks from years of spurring and whipping, and on his right leg is a faded brand given to him a long time ago. He is a fairly unremarkable horse, although a handsome stud and with wonderful gaits and a lot of flair. However, his dark eyes are dead and submissive most of the time, his head and tail down.
Personality: Gatsby is a very bold horse and loves to jump. He will go over anything, even if it seems too tall, and isn't scared of anything when it comes to jumps. He makes an excellent cross-country horse, and does very well in the jumping portions of eventing. He's quick, brave, and everything in nature that a great eventer should be. However, under Morgan he has become unfeeling and submissive, and although he does his job he does it without heart. His manner has become strained and a little fearful, and although he is really a friendly, gallant sort of stallion in nature he doesn't associate much with other horses. He is become more stressed out and restless by the day.
History: Gatsby had a very fair start at life, and was bought after his weaning and halter training by a good show jumping rider, who thought him a very likely sort of horse. Gatsby was fairly good at this at the age of three, and he won a good deal of money in the show ring, but his owner decided to sell him the following year, having found another horse with whom they could go a good deal further. Unfortunately for Gatsby, he was sold to Morgan Parr, and since then has had a time of it, although he is now an eventer, a career for which he is highly suited.
Discipline: 3-day Eventing (Show Jumping, Cross-country, Dressage)
