Blue pranced along the path into the dimly-lit barn. Nose was pulled to his chest, tail was held in the air. The stud chain around his nose was yanked on, but he didn't stop prancing, for it was the first time he'd been out in days, maybe weeks. Ears picked up everything he could possibly hear; one horse drinking, another pacing. He snorted and tossed his head as he was put into a pen, halter kept on. He paced around the perimiter of the pen, snorting and raising his head when he heard a voice or a nicker. The pretty lil' bay dove his nose into a water bucket, his blazed head going lower than it had all day. Black stockinged feet went back to pacing, sweat starting to form on his shoulders. The man he had been with for the past two years since his capture stuck up a peice of paper to the pen with duct tape. FOR SALE-BLUE SUEDE SHOES ASKING 600-800 DOLLARS. TRAINED IN WESTERN PLEASURE, TRAIL CLASSES AND GYMKHANA. JUST OVER 15 HANDS. SIX YEARS. KIGER MUSTANG FROM THE BLM. PERSONALLY TRAINED. SWEET AND LOVING.

Here once again. But now he had a mission, not just wandering around and stumbling across a horse or two. The last time he had been here, he had found Shaik and Kyss, which was a lucky find indeed. But now he was here looking for a lesson horse, to help jump start his program. Or at least attract paying customers. Hell, he needed something. Eddie now had one boarder, two employees and only two horses, not including Kyss. He needed more, and he had plenty of stalls for more horses. No big golden dog waltzed by his side today, as he had left Achilles at the ranch to be watched by Rachel and and Liz. He didn't want to deal with the large dog today. There were many flashy horses here today, with workers and people milling about here and there. Eddie had been at the sales barn for a good two hours, and was ready to head home and come back another day. He had stopped and checked out several horses, but none seemed to suit his needs today. With a sigh, the tall man started to head back to his truck and trailer, that is, until he passed a bay horse in a smaller pen. It caught his eye more than any other horse he had passed today, and he paused, looking it over. A stallion, he observed. But that was alright. He had a stallion and knew how to handle them. Eddie walked up to the fence and leaned on it, observing the stallion, as well as waiting and looking to see if an owner would appear.
ooc-Hope you don't mind me replying :]

Sticking his head through the bars of the small pipe pen, Blue perked his ears forward at the person looking him over. Familiar footsteps echoed through the facility as a gruff-looking man walked up to the fence. "Sure is a looker, eh?" His voice was deep, very familiar to the young stud. The tall, gruff man crossed his arms, standing infront of the grimy gate to the pen. "I'm sellin' him for 600." He said, bopping the stud on the nose, which sent Blue flying backward, butt tucked under him, feet moving fast, to the other side of the pen. He huffed, ears pinned back, straight against his head. Nostrils were flared, ribcage expanded with each deep breath. He stood there for the longest time, taking deep breaths, his ears pinned, uneasy. He snorted and shook his head, coming out of the "trance" he was sent into. A horse nickered down the isle, and he responded lowly before setting out in a brisk walk along the permiter of the pen, feet moving at his normal pace. He snorted every once in a while, tensing up whenever he came around to the two men speaking.
[OOC: no problem <3.]

Eddie stepped back a bit as the stud stuck his head through the bars, giving the stallion a bit more room to check him out. That is, until a scruffy looking man came forward to lean on the gate. Eddie narrowed his eyes a bit at the man's treatment of the bay equine, though he said nothing in return yet, just watching the stallion's reaction to the man, who was obviously the owner. It was obvious that he was a little skittish of people, though maybe it was just the owner, as he had been fine with Eddie when he first approached. And only for 600 dollars too. Eddie looked him over as the stud passed them on a circuit, watching his movements and studying his conformation from a distance as well as up close. A very good stud, possibly a good breeder, but he wasn't really a breeder, not his interest. But a stallion here and there were fine, and a foal around was quite fun too. Liking what he saw, Eddie finally turned to the man. I'll take him. What's he called? Unimpressed with the owner so far, he wondered if he had given the stallion a name. Pulling out his folded checkbook, he quickly wrote out a check, though he didn't fill out the name. The owner could do that. Right now, all he wanted to do was get this horse home and settled in. Ripping it off from the others, Eddie held it out to the owner, waiting for him to take it.

The stud snorted as he rounded a corner of the pen, ears twitching with the conversation being played out infront of him. "Good. He's registered, his Registered name is Blue Suede Shoes, and naturally, he's called Blue 'round the barn. Responds to jus' 'bout anythin' though. I'll go get his papers from my truck real fas'." He grabbed the check from the buyers hands and walked quickly to the large truck, opening the golvebox and pulling out a manilla folder of all the stud's information. He, unlike other sellers in this joint, was experienced in the career of selling horses. He put the check in the center consol and walked back to the horse and man, pulling out the bill of sale from the manilla folder, "Blue" scrawled in scratchy, upper-case letters on the outside. He handed to paper over to the buyer, taking a ballpoint pen from a pocket on the chest of his jacket. His signature and all the horse's information was still on it, the buyer just had to sign it here and there, initial here, blah, blah, blah.
Meanwhile, the rather curious stud wandered back to the fence, sniffing in the direction of the new person. He moved his ears forward, then used one to swivle around his head, picking up other sounds. His tail brushed over his hocks, back and forth, right hind foot resting on the ground. When the man came back, he stayed planted where he was, but picked up his foot and stood on it like he normally would, making his wide back flat, his toned muscles clearly visible through his thick winter coat.

The owner took the check, and Eddie just nodded as he talked about getting to paper work. He had time to waste. As the stag came back over to investigate, Eddie smiled, reaching to him and rubbing his nose. Blue. For a bay horse, it fit. He loved the show name, especially since he loved that Elvis song anyway. Blue seemed like a good guy. Hopefully he and Winchester would get along alright, because if it came to a choice between Winchester and this guy here, Eddie would choose Winchester, of course. But He would just have to keep them separated at first until they became used to each others presence. The owner came back with the bill of sale and Eddie quickly signed, now very eager to bring home his new boy and try him out. Well, after a good grooming to get the tufts of leftover winter coat from his hide. Eddie wondered how the stud would react to Achilles, big stupid dog. Shaik might not be exactly happy about another stallion around the stables, but she would adjust. And Kyss was old enough to be separated from her, so she wouldn't have to be so protective. Eddie handed back the pen and the other forms he didn't need and turned to Blue, rubbing the stallion's cheek before looking back at the owner. I'm all set here. Can I have his lead and any other objects that are his? He couldn't exactly leave without Blue's stuff. Might be just a little hard.
