adam elton,
He was in his usual place at the little coffee shop. He always came there before he went off to the animal hospital and after he left the animal hospital at night. He already knew from the first time he had came here that the tea here was horrible. He seemed to only take a liking to the tea back home in Great Britain. He guessed some things never changed, he never expected to adapt to the ways of this new country in the first place, but he was holding up just fine in this small town. He had a nice job, he owned the animal hospital what more could a person want? Then he had his beloved little dog Ellie, whom he had saved her life in his home country. He loved that dog to death almost, she was the only that came over with him to this country.
He was sitting at the table by the window simply making notes of what had to be done or what had already been done. He tapped the pen he had in his hand on the table top for a few moments, thinking quietly to himself before writing something else down. He had just gotten a new horse, his first horse to be exact. A young Knabstrup stallion, now where did he expect to keep the beast? In his house? That wasn't going to happen. He made a mental note to find a place to board the horse as soon as possible seeing as the horse costed him three thousand dollars.
After a few minutes had passed he had filled up a good ten pages in the notebook. He was surprised at his own handywork, at least the majority of what he written down had been done with. He looked up as a waitress came by and asked if he needed anything "Oh no thank you" He said smiling at her, his voice laced with British accent. He watched as she walked alway then looked back at the notebook, what a day it was.

I walked in. The light of the sun streamed in through the door. I looked around as I breathed the sweet aroma of coffee. A sigh escaped my lips. Coffee smells so nice. The shop was relatively empty. A few people seated here and there. I walked to the counter, my shoes padding on the hard wood floor. The walls were decorated with pretty paintings of various things. The eiffel tower in one, a couple kissing in another. My blue eyes lingered on it for a moment, I heaved a sigh.
I quickly refocused my mind. I caught a glimse of myself in the glass door of a cabinet. Another sigh. I'm not what one would call hot. Or even beautiful. I'm big. Whatever. Get over yourself. I resituated my purple sweater and adjusted my colorful scarf. I ordered my drink, smiling far too much at the cashier, and tipping far too much also. I'm wierd like that. I like to smile at people. I like to brighten people's days. I turned around. My white chocolate mocha making steamy swirls in the air and drenching the area with the rich smell of fresh coffee. I started walking next to me and was walking past a waitress cleaning up tables.
As I moved to walk around her, the big tray in her arm slipped from her grasp and clanged on the ground, shattering and spilling the mountains of mugs and tea cups that were on it. I didn't have time to stop. I took a step right at a big almost full coffee spilt and I slipped. Ok. So I'm a clutz anyways but it's always embarrassing to reveal this fact in public. I felt that single moment of suspension and then I was down. I yelped as glass dug into my arm and side and my hot coffee spilt all over.
My cheeks turned instantly red and the waitress wide eyed with terror began yelling apologies at me and trying to help me up. "I'm fine, I'm fine." As she frantically yelped I assessed the damage. My right arm was cut and I felt pain in my hip and side. I had no way to see if it was bleeding because I was wearing dark purple and there was coffee all over me. I heaved a sigh, the third in the last 10 minutes. I was so embarassed. Maybe I'll just lay here and die.

He wrote down a few more things, while crossing out things that had been done. He had found a few stray dogs that had been injured slightly in the past month and he made sure to to tend to the poor animal's injuries. He soon found homes for the young dogs, for they were still technically in the puppy stages of life. He was always happy to help an animal or people, but he was better at working with animals although he was not a anti-scoial person in any way
He looked up as he heard something fall and break onto the floor. He watched as the different assortments of glasses and cups and such. His attention was finally caught as her realized that someone had slipped and had fallen onto the floor. He watched for a few more moments as the waitress helped the woman up, aplologizing all the while
He got up from his table, wanting to help in any way he can. For he couldn't just sit around and not help could he? No, he really couldn't, he was just a helpful person that way. He left his notebook on the table along with his pen and walked over to where the waitress and woman were standing. "Are you alright?" He asked, of course he was nothing more than a vet, but a vet wasn't much different from a doctor right? Right. They specialized in the same things, except one dealt with animals, the other with humans.

I could feel how red my face was. And dang, if you can feel your face get red, its really red, you know what I mean. The waitress grabbed my hand and helped me up. "It's okay, I'm fine I promise." I said as she repeatedly said I'm so sorry. She was like a broken record. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, you get the point. She looked down at my arm which was trickling blood. My blue eyes followed her gaze. "It'll be fine, it's just a scratch, I've had much worse."
My face felt like it was beginning to return to a normal shade when a man came up to me and asked if i was alright. And then I blushed again. I do that. It's pretty annoying. "O I'm fine." I chuckled nervously. "I just need a bandaid that's all. " He had a British accent. HOT! I love british accents. They get me every time.
He was a shortish fellow. Not too much taller than me, and he was british, which I assume you have deducted from his accent. I brushed my redish hair with my fingers a bit, trying to smooth it out. It reached down to my waist and was a pain most of the time. I hurridly smoothed out my sweater and scarf, and made sure my jeans hadn't ripped or anything. Nope, all good. I was covered in coffee though, and I had walked here, which sucks. That means I have to walk home covered in coffee.
The waitress buslted away to get a broom and dust pan. I picked up the classifieds, which I had brought with me, and tried to shake most of the coffee off of it. I'm job searching. So I thought I could come here and drink coffee and look through the job listing. My house is kind of a, well, crappy little thing. I need a job, and then I can rent a nice one. I smiled at the English man again, my face bright.
ooc=sorry this sucks, it's kind hard to work with.

So she was actually alright, though there was still a small amount of doubt that lingered around him. If someone fell in glass, wouldn't they be in pain? So you couldn't blame him for looking a bit skeptical at the girl. "Well you had a bit of a bad fall there, so it doesn't hurt for someone to cautious for another" He spoke smiling slightly in her direction. He probably wouldn't have been much of help anyway, he specialized in animals a huge difference from this situation. [/blockquote]

He looked like he didn't believe me. Ok, truth be told it hurt a little more than I was letting on. I think I bruised a rib or something. But I wasn't going to lift up my shirt in public to see if I had a bruise or cut on my side. When he spoke a felt a little sheepish. "O yes, thanks for asking if I was all right" I chuckled, nervously again.
The waitress came back and I stepped to the side. "I can do that, I was the one who made this mess" She refused my offer, insisting she do it herself. "Ok, I'm really sorry about all this." She swept up the peices of broken glass and shuffled away again to get a mop.
Everyone who had previously been occupied with watching my little accident had gone back to their various tasks. I felt relieved that people weren't watching me anymore. I was so embarrassed already. I turned back to the man. My blue eyes looking into his, I held out my hand, luckily it was the one without blood on it. "My name is Juliette Evans, it's nice to meet you." And then I sheepishly asked, "and I was wondering if maybe you could give me a ride home. It's a long walk and a chilly day," I smiled "and I don't want to be a coffee popsicle."
I kind of felt like a jerk for asking, but if he said no that was ok. "You really don't have to, feel free to say no." I shuffled and waited for a response.

Sure the cautious deal. He had always been a cautious person, although he never second guessed about anything, that was way too risky to his dislike. He managed to cast a smile at the er un injured completely okay woman Yeah, if he had fallen on glass, he wouldn't be all happy about it, but oh well. "You are very welcome" He spoke soon after. Then she cut straight to introuductions. She must not be feeling any pain from her fall afterall. Amazing much? He grins this time and shakes her hand, it was more or less of a business-type handshake. "It is a pleasure too meet you as well. I'n Adam Elton" Seeing as that was usually the only reason he shook hands in the first place. At the mentioning of taking her home, he looked slightly puzzled but the look soon faded. Another kindly smile appeared across his face "Sure, I was about to leave anyway. It wouldn't be any trouble at all"[/blockquote]
