Again he was a bit surprised at her words. What was that? He hadn't exactly been paying attention. The man had wandered from dream world to la la land. Ah so he had to force himself back to reality when he heard her speak again. "Um your hair?" He spoke, mostly to himself. What was wrong with hair? Oh! It was pink. What was wrong with pink hair? Clearly nothing. Colorful things were happy things right? He smiled slightly "You do realize that there is nothing wrong with your hair, right? It doesn't bug me, not in the least bit" He finally responded. There was nothing with anything at all. A sigh escaped him moments later though it more or less a thoughtful one at that [/blockquote]

"The tired song of summer that I used to sing,
Kai stared dumbfoundedly at his surprised expression. Hadn't her assumption been correct? Oh, wait...er, they usually weren't right. It seemed like he wasn't really paying attention, which stumped her. What was up with him? She wondered if he was always so dreamy...Stop it! Not that kind of dreamy, the other kind! Yes, there is another kind! Blinking rapidly at his words, she smiled again, a giggle bubbling from her slender throat and passed her sealed lips.
And you found me somehow good,
Overreacting a bit, she jumped a little bit into his personal bubble, arms crossing behind her back, tilting her head back to look at him. "Really? Thank you! Danke, danke, danke." She had dropped the reins in the process, but Lujza didn't seem to mind...actually, she was half-asleep...Lazy bugger. Kai hmmed cheerfully, swiping her bangs out of her face before stepping back, feeling no remorse for envading his personal bubble. And it's so much fun to be with you."

He snapped out of his 'spacing out' moment when he realized that she had reverted her attention back to him. Then a moment later he realized that she was laughing. Or, she was laughing right? He wasn't quite sure, he still had a foot in dreamworld and one in reality at the time. He shook his head slightly, more or less in response to his own thoughts. Personal space? Kyle knew not the meaning of such a phrase. He usually didn't matter who was invading his space. Actually it did matter, depending on the circumstances. If it had been oh say a male, he would have taken a step back. Seeing as it was a female, he simply looked over it. A grin appeared on his face once more when Kai spoke again "No need to thank me" He spoke a bit puzzled, tilting his head a bit in the process. Oh right, she had thought that her hair was bothering him. Clearly there was nothing wrong with it. Different was good. Different was exquisite. Exquisite was also good. "Did you expect me to think ill of your hair?" He asked curiously [/blockquote]

"You can't imagine how I was dying just to talk to you.
She shrugged nonchalantly, beginning to twist a lock with a finger once more absentmindedly. "It usually bothers people." She admitted sheepishly as she gathered the reins, beginning to walk in the direction of the barn. Lujza huffed grumpily as she dragged her hooves sluggishly across the ground, ears swiveling actively as a distant neigh caught her attention. Kai's own pace was slow and careful, strides medium and hips swaying minutely. Sliding a glance toward Kyle, she licked her dry lips before looking forward once more. "You don't seem to be like anyone else around here. I am very much enjoying your company, actually."
We can leave it as it is,
It was true, she was quite enjoying have this little chat and being near another human being. Kai was taking a liking to this man, even though they have only just met! Oh, what her Mutti would say! Naturally, being a twenty year old, Kai wasn't quite concerned with her mother prying into her personal life...especially when said parent was a whole different continent away. Speaking of age: she glanced once more at him, calculating his age through his appearance. He didn't look much older than she, did he? No, not really. He had the young look, but his body type and features made sure you knew he wasn't a teenage boy anymore. We can be as one as well."

Ah so it seemed as if many a person took a disliking to her hair. How strange of such people. Though it wasn't anyone's fault if one was blind towards another's positive qualities. "Well it certaintly does not bother me" He began referring to her hair once more "Many people are jealous towards another's positive qualities" He finished. "I am enjoying your company also. It grows quite boring around these parts, at least in my point of view" He spoke again as he watched her slowly lead the draft mare. Of course he slowly followed the pair. So what, he was bored, and utterly infatuated by a complete stranger. That was just how he was. He was like the stray dog who visited a random person's house and begged for them to feed him, showing off those big ol' puppy dog eyes. The look that many dogs shared that no once could resist. Although dear Kyle was not going to sink as low as street hound. No way, no how.[/blockquote]

"Now I've got this far anyway,
Positive qualities, hm? Well now, wasn't that just a quickly eaten up compliment. Kai was a somewhat vain girl, so she relished in the fact that he thought her hair was a positive quality! If she were a cat, she'd be purring. Or perhaps a bird, because then she'd be preening....back to the point. Kyle just scored himself some brownie points, in her opinion. "I'm afraid I've figured that out. There's not much to do around here...but I actually live in the next town over. I just spend all of my time here, because it's less hectic." The duo stepped placidly into the breezeway of the stable, slipping quickly into a large stall that was meant for the bigger horses that would board here.
And I finally turn to my last page,
Within a few minutes, the mare exchanged her bridle for a halter, and the saddle was freed from her back and burdened onto the small human. Her arms were used to lugging around Mitch's ridiculously heavy western saddle, so this english saddle was almost a relief. Squeezing herself out of the stall, she locked the door securely behind her, double-checking the mare to make sure she didn't have saddle marks. Kai would return later to give her a bath anyway, but just to make sure. Heading toward the tack room, she threw a question over her shoulder back at him. "So, do you have any horses?"
These countless memories still holding me back."

He watched as she put the equine in the stall before speaking "It's pretty boring in this town, but we all have our opinions" He said smiling at her. Cedar Creek sure was a nice place to keep a horse, though it was an easy aspect to look over. "I own just one horse. Though one is all I need" He said as he looked back at her [/blockquote]

"Now I've got this far anyway,
"Ach, I see. Lujza is my only horse. I love her to pieces already, but I must admit that I'm 'cheating' on her with Mitch's stud." She laughed, slipping her tack into it's appropriate place before returning to Kyle's side. "Speaking of Mitch, we have a 'date' this weekend." She muttered quietly to herself, rolling her eyes at the whole 'date' thing. Mitch was her farrier, but he was also a trainer and whatnot. All of his female clients went completely gaga over him, most likely because he was rather handsome and could ride a horse. Kai just wasn't particularly interested in him, since he had tried to get her to go out with him for months now. She finally gave in just because Lujza needed her hooves done...hence the 'date,' aka the farrier visit.
And I finally turn to my last page,
"Where do you keep your horse?" She smiled as she turned to fully face him, leaning back on the wall and crossing her arms in front of her. She had a feeling his horse wasn't here...Otherwise, she was sure she'd see him more often. Taking the pause to put her cardigan back on, she pulled out her cellular device, checking the time. Hm, it wasn't even close to noon yet. She wasn't planning on spending the whole day here, though. She wanted to go drive around and explore the town a bit, possibly.
These countless memories still holding me back."

He turned to her as she next spoke "Your horse is truly a magnificent animal" He was complimenting the wonderful draft horse, mostly because, well actually he couldn't remember why. Wait was that? His green eyes looked her over for a split second. Did she say she had a date? She was taken? Aww man He thought to himself. His dignity was a little bruised now, and he had certaintly injured his spirit. Now he felt like the bad dog who was sent outside on the porch and into the rain. A sigh escaped him. No he couldn't be saddened by this. No way! Though in his mind he was yelling at himself Yes way! Yes you could be saddened by this! It was a short moment of silence as he wallowed in a mud pit of self pity and undeniable shame A few more moments passed before he finally looked up again, realizing she had spoke. "Did you say something?" Oh right she did. He thought back then he remembered, quite vaguely. "I keep my horse at my cousin's place" Pity the fool! Well he didn't think he was a fool, or maybe he did. He couldn't tell the difference, at least not now anyways. He had never pitied himself before, where had the time gone? He felt like a defenseless animal that had just been stepped on. Oh the agony.[/blockquote]

"Now I've got this far anyway,
Did you say something? Now Kai was certain that this man was not really paying attention. Or wait, perhaps he was if he could respond...okay. Odd chap he was, hm? Not that she had room to speak. Her brows furrowed as he glanced at her with a strange mixture of emotions in his eyes. Surprise? Disbelief? Wait, were his eyes green? What a lovely shade! Hers were an amber-like brown, nothing too flashy. Now, what could she have done to gain such a look?
And I finally turn to my last page,
Oh! The date thing. Shit, he'd heard that. Bah! Du bist ein dummkopf! Why was he even worried about that...Ach! She peered at him wonderingly, biting her lower lip, quickly wondering how she could clarify that she wasn't technically...how do you say it? 'Taken' yet? "Ach, I see. I like having my horse here..." She paused, seeing an opportunity to slip the whole 'not a date thing' in. "It's easier to find for my my farrier, Mitch. He's my 'date' this weekend. Also known as, I'm paying him to do Lujza's feet and then sending him off. He is quite an annoying fellow, that one." She smiled encouragingly at him, hoping that he would quit looking like she kicked him. Images of sad puppies flashed through her head. Eek! Nein!
These countless memories still holding me back."

The horror, the bloody horror! He was silently cursing to himself in his head. No no no no! Okay he needed to calm down before he completely forgot what he was doing or saying. Freaking out, was definately not good. Nope. Not even in the slighest bit. A final sigh escaped him, his gaze drifting off elsewhere. His gaze finally focused on the young woman again when he next heard her speak then his words finally stumbled out a few seconds later "Its a great place to keep a horse...." A farrier? Farrier...farrier....is that what she had meant? Crap He thought to himself. "A farrier?" He murmured under his breath more or less to himself. A farrier! Oh goodness gracious. A farrier! He had never felt so happy to hear that word in his entire life. He managed to smile a little at her words, well that was better than the assumption he had made earlier right? Relief passed through his emerald eyes. Definately better.[/blockquote]

"Now I've got this far anyway,
A wave of relief wiped all images of a kicked puppy out of her mind at his smile, a grin matching his. "Yes, my farrier, Mitch." She straightened up away from the wall, stepping closer and looking up at Kyle. "Sorry? I must've worded that wrong." Kai didn't like that look from a moment ago on his face. It just didn't rub her right. She didn't want him to feel like that, she didn't anyone feeling like that. Though, she pondered over why he might feel as such.
And I finally turn to my last page,
Did he fancy her? Now, that would be very peculiar indeed! Sure, she's had some people as her out when she was in high school, but it has been a good length of time since someone was interest toward her. Well, unless you count Mitch, but she wasn't even remotely attracted to him. Too plain, too boring, and too much of a ladies' man. She had an idea where certain parts of his body have been, and she did not want them or the possible diseases that came with them anywhere near her. She had some sense of dignity, yes? Can't risk getting an STD just for a night of fun.

Farriers seemed awesome right about now in his mind. "Oh." Then he heard her apologize "Oh no need to be sorry. I must not have really been paying attention" He spoke again trying to casual as if nothing had bothered him but he did a poor job of doing so. Maybe it was his own mistake of doing but who knew anything nowadays. Today was certaintly a strange day. He hadn't exactly planned on meeting an angel in broad daylight. He was at a lost of words as he thought to himself. Truthfully he didn't quite remember having a so called girlfriend Well he believed he had about three or four, but then again he didn't quite remember them because they were so gosh darn clingy Females always seemed to take a liking to his friendly outgoing personality so now he sort of had become a casanova. Though sometimes he grew quite bored of the attention. He couldn't help that he was so nice to people, it was in his genes. Or thats what his mum always told him. At least thats what he thought. Ah well. Cheers to casanova hood.[/blockquote]

"Now I've got this far anyway,
Kai Minna Werner was in no way experienced in the relationship department. She hadn't been particularly welcoming to all whose dates she had accepted, and rarely did they ever reach the second base status. God, what were the bases exactly? Kai wasn't too sure, but she was sure they'd never reached second base, and never did they get to third base. She cringed at the thought of the oily, easily whipped American boys who googly-eyed the foreign girl the whole time during the date, the perverted thoughts easily read in their suspiciously gleaming eyes and far too friendly touches. Okay, she had to admit, she had been called pathetic for not having done anything of that standard yet, but give her a break! It's not like she was just going to jump on the first Junge she saw and ravish him senseless. She had a bit of class, thank you.
And I finally turn to my last page,
"Ach, I see." She crossed her legs at the ankle, whipping out her cellular to recheck the time. Noticing a text, she turned the phone vertically and began to text rapidly, finishing up in a few seconds and hitting send. Sliding it back into the pocket of her jeans, she ran her hand through her hair, ruffling it up a bit. "I really wasn't planning on spending the day here...I was actually thinking about exploring the area. I heard there was a beach not too far from here...?" She trailed off, looking at him hopefully. The salty air of the beach seemed like an inviting scent right now, even though it was a tad bit chilly.

Ah the beach. A place full of white sands and crystal clear waters. He smiled as she looked at him. "Yes there is a beach near here, though I've never been there myself" He excluded the fact that he had completely forgotten about the beach that was near town. Of course he had been there before, but he had fallen asleep on the beach and had gotten a serious sunburn from the sun. Luckily, somehow he didn't get tanned. He disliked tans. He really, really did. He looked around the barn for a few moments. It sure was a spacious barn, though there was a somewhat empty feeling to it even though it wasn't exactly empty. Perhaps he was just imagining things. After a few moments of his silent reminsicing he returned his attention back to Kai. "Did you plan on going to the beach today?" he asked curiously. He ran his hand through his hair before he spoke again "I mean, its good to explore new places"[/blockquote]
