"The colors of the rainbow shine so bright, every time I look into your eyes." The techno music pumped rhythmically through the speakers, vibrating the convertible with each beat as it whipped into a driveway and decreased in speed. The hardtop had been retracted and folded away, exposing the contents of the Jaguar X150. A splash of pink and black was incredibly evident in the driver's seat, though it wasn't the person's clothing...it was her hair. Said hair was wrangled into a loose ponytail that draped carelessly over her shoulder, loose waves and curls fluttering in the wind. Fingers flicked over the dashboard controls, turning the volume dial down to a dull roar, though she continued to sing.
"It’s the colors of the rainbow that feed my soul, over and over, just like you do." Crawling into a halt in the parking lot at the bottom of the driveway, the pink-haired female cut off the engine, unbuckled herself, and removed her sunglasses, tucking them into the glove compartment. Pausing a moment, the young woman stared unfocusedly at the steering wheel, a million thoughts and questions whipping through her head at once, forming a sharp head pain for mere seconds. This was a usual occurrence, and they only lasted a minute or two. It was like spacing out, basically, but more...painful, per say. It was all rather complicated. To say the least, she had a...mental madness. Yes, you could call it that. She wasn’t completely bonkers yet, and she hoped to stay that way. Blinking after a minute or two, she glanced to the side, eyes drifting over the facilities that awaited her. Cedar Creek Ranch: Two large barns, pastures, arenas, beautiful scenery...it was a rather ideal place, eh? That’s probably what attracted her when she went barn hunting. It reminded her so much of the Pferdestall that she had loaned Flocki out to four years ago when she went to the host exchange family in America. Flocki...It was a shame the poor ol’ boy couldn’t come with her. She had money, but not enough to ship a Shire on a plane with her. Besides, he was happy in his new home, and was completely spoiled by the young children there. Popping open the door, she slid out of the seat and immediately straightened herself out, slamming the door shut carefully. Tapping her fingers experimentally on the black paint of the hood, she examined the fancy-dancy car carefully. It was hard to believe that her host family actually bought her a car as a ‘Welcome Home!’ gift. It was simply unbelievable. Well...they were rich and did have money to spend...but she did feel guilty. They were so kind to her and invited her over for dinner at least twice a month to catch up. Letting that train of thought slip away, she tucked her phone, the discontinued model by AT&T called Eternity, she turned on her heel and strode quickly in a direction that she prayed would lead her to the office. Five minutes was all it took to find it, thankfully. It must have escaped her mind when she called earlier to come check out the place...oh wait! Something else escaped her mind! Who was it that she was suppose to meet up with and talk to again? She groaned in annoyance at herself as she stepped to the side of the door, pressing her back against the wall. Tilting her face upward, she glared accusingly as she attempted to remember. This is Kai Minna Werner. Slightly mad, and completely forgetful. Would you mind helping her out? She tapped the studs sides and he walked off and onto the trial that would take them back to the ranch, she asked him to lope which he did nicely but not before throwing a buck in there. She laughed and sat his buck and soon they were moving swiftly down the trail, she was holding on to her hat but just as sudden as the fun started it stopped as the stallion shied at the sudden sound of music coming from a car. She shook her head and asked him for the canter again and then to gallop, he listened to his owner but as they got closer to the noise he began to get uneasy and then all together it stopped, she sighed as the stallion relaxed and focused on his job again. They hit the driveway trotting up it, she saw a nice car sitting in the driveway and she raised an eyebrow, she angled the stallion toward the office. Reaching the office she saw a girl pressed against the wall, she stopped the stallion and hopped off, you must be Kai im Sammie its nice to meet you. She walked up the stallion in tow and stuck out her hand for the girl to shake if she wanted to.

"The colors of the rainbow shine so bright, every time I look into your eyes." While she was content with inhaling the fresh air, Kai was having a tad bit of trouble. It was such a bother to be forgetful, well, unless you wanted to forget something bad...but not this! Growling slightly, she rolled her head down, eyes squinting as a familiar sound drifted toward her. Thud-crunch, thud-crunch, thud-crunch...Shifting away from the wall, eyes widened as someone came to her rescue. A blonde, curly-haired female slid off of her mount a few yards away. A smile flashed straight, pearly teeth- a result of braces, a retainer, and her Mutti's drill sergeant teeth brushing schedule. Stepping away from the wall, she reached sheepishly for the other's hand, shaking it gently.
"It’s the colors of the rainbow that feed my soul, over and over, just like you do." "Ja, my name is Kai. It's nice to meet you! I hope I'm not messing up your schedule by visiting on such short notice." Brow furrowed in worry at the thought of such an inconvenience caused by her, her English spoken meticulously in an attempt to pronounce each syllable correctly. Wouldn't want to jibble jabble! Though, it made speaking hard when she tried to make herself perfectly clear...Ah, well, she'll just pray that this girl will be able to understand her despite the German accent. Dropping her hand back to her side, Kai scraped her bottom lip with her teeth as she thought for a moment, looking over the stable area once more. She didn't have a horse as of yet, but she already had a deposit on one. The problem was more of the boarding fee, when-she hoped!-she brought said horse here. Sure, she had a job, and that inheritance wasn't too scrappy, but she always had to use her money well. That's why she was going to inquire about volunteering here in exchange for a reduced board. Recollecting herself, Kai reached out her hand cautiously to the stallion, palm flat up in an offering of her scent. "I didn't get a chance to ask you on the phone earlier,-" It suddenly came to mind that was suppose to meet Sammie! "-but I have a few questions pertaining to boarding a horse here. I wanted to know if it was possible to exchange volunteer work for a reduced board. I can do anything that's needed, though I'm not much of a...erm...I think you'd call it a 'handyman.' Anyway, I can do anything related to horses, actually. Muck stalls, feed, water, clean tack, even ride some horses for you if you'd like." Kai cleared her throat quietly as she shifted her weight to her left leg, popping her right hip a tad, arms tucked behind her back as she awaited the verdict. Sammie smiled and shook her head, no you are not ruining my schedule we only went on a trail ride. She smiled again, she could understand the girl it was not the hard to despite her broken English, oh yes please walk this way with me. Sammie started walking to the stud barn, well on the ranch we have three stallions, two geldings and a couple mares. I need someone to ride the horses I cant get to in a day, I also need someone just to walk Flight around, we don’t ride him much due to his joint issue and what he has been threw. if you could do that, clean stalls and groom some of the horses, I will let you know what needs to be done on that day some days you might do nothing and dont be afraid of me I treat everything fairly, so anyway I will let you bored your horse here for almost nothing,How does that sound? They had reached the stud barn and she clipped the horse into the cross ties, she took the saddle off and went into the tack room, she brought out a box of groom tools, the brushes and stuff. If you would like you can start now, seeing I have to go get my other stallion ready to ride. She smiled and set the box in front of the horse and walked away, she grabbed the black halter outside the door and opened the door, slipping it over the golden nose of the horse she led him out, he tossed his head and calmly walked to his own cross ties, Oh the black and white is Abracadabra and the buckskin here is Caillou. She waited for the girls words.

"The colors of the rainbow shine so bright, every time I look into your eyes." Like an overjoyed puppy, the foreign girl followed the owner of Cedar Creek Ranch, pace brisk and careful as to not enter the stallions personal bubble. Only a fool would invade any creature's space without being properly acquainted, especially a creature as powerful as a horse. She’d been demonstrated the powerful kick of the equine persuasion many-a-time. Thankfully, they were only ponies, but it still sent her flying backwards with a sharp cry. Focusing her attention on the words the other woman spoke, Kai digested and memorized the information slowly. Note to self: Make a planner and calendar! That would definitely help her keep track. Pulling herself from her thoughts, she started in surprised at Sammie’s offer.
"It’s the colors of the rainbow that feed my soul, over and over, just like you do." "“Really? Thank you very much!” She smiled brilliantly, wringing her hands in delight. That meant she could hand over the rest of the money for the horse without worrying about going broke. The smile faltered a bit as she remembered an important bit of information concerning the horse. Watching her go in and out of the tack room, she cleared her throat a bit. “Another thing-The horse I’m bringing in is a Shire, so...it would take up a lot of space, but I can provide grain and hay! I hope that isn’t a problem?” Awaiting an answer, she snatched a curry comb from the box and began grooming the handsome stud. Small, tight circles, lifting the dirt from the coat and skin.
