Home at last(Belle and all her crazy horses)

Well I had run my heart out at three races that were like the triple crown, I had clenched all three but at the end of the third race I had gone down. I had a mild stress fracture and now I was being brought back to last hope by the transporting people, seeing Stevie could not be there herself due to having to run the ranch. I did not mind I knew she was cheering me on at home and now she could worry about Lightning next year. I snorted and felt the pulling and swaying of the trailer it was a really windy day, the trailer was rocking and swaying violently and I could careless but some horses in the trailer with me were freaking out. I could feel it come to a stop and I knew we were home. I snorted and turned my head to face the big man as he untied me and then tied me to the fence, he took all my stuff out and then shut the doors and left, well wasnt he nice. The blanket I had on felt nice, it blocked the wind and chill, I snorted and then called out, propping the hoof that hurt. Where was Stevie?

I walked out of the barn and saw that Blaze was home. The truck dude drove away after tying Blaze to the fence. Well that's no way to treat a champion horses. I thought and shook my head. Some people. "Hey boy. That was one crazy race huh?" I said. I had rode him in all three races, even the one where he went down. I had gotten out of the race unharmed just a little bruised but Blaze came out of it with a fracture that ended his career. "Come on let's get you into your stall." I led him to the Stallion barn.

I whinnied to Blaze. He was home! I walked in a circle around my stall and banged on the door. I wanted to see him! Please let me see him! I whinnied loudly and lipped at the latch on the door. My nostrils flared and I banged the door again. "Blaze!" I called again excitedly. Then I continued to work at getting this darn bolt loose!

I nickered a reluctant greeting to Blaze. I knew that Belle was happy to see him but I didn't know if I was. I didn't put up a fuss like Belle did but instead pricked my ears at his approch. I still didn't like Belle and him together but...

I nickered loudly to Blaze and pawed the ground. Then I whinnied again, trotting around the stall, occasionally copying Belle and banging the stall door. I whinnied as loud as I could the effort making my whole body quiver.

I whinnied a friendly greeting to every one, as it seemed that as I came home every one except Lightning became excited, Stevie untied me and I limped back to my stall. I went in calmly and she shut the door, another call left me for Belle my love the one I had wanted to see the whole time I was on the road. I paced around my stall and then settled off into the corner, I did not want her to take my blanket off because I was cold, my winter coat had just started coming in but it was still really short. I propped my hoof and waited to see if Stevie would bring Belle over. I had to agree it was some crazy race but at least I had gone down after I had won it. There was no question now that I would not be returning to racing but instead I would be put up for stud for a select few mares. I snorted and pawed with my fore hoof, we were definitely all over the news for winning and my brake down but I would give it a week and then we would be forgotten. I really want to talk to Lightning and help him out but I did not know if he would let me...

I listened to the ruckus the horses made when Blaze came home. I smiled. "Looks like you had your little welcoming party." I patted him. Don't get too excited now."I don't want you banging your leg on anything.We'll just leave the blanket on, after all everyone in the barn had one." Then I went back out in the cold to get Blazes stuff.

I nickered to Stevie and flicked my ears at Blaze. I still wasn't sure if I liked him. I mean half of me hated him and half of me kind of liked me. I pawed in my stall and paced. I didn't know what to do! I suppose I could try being nice to him after all he was hurt. There something to talk about. "Hi Blaze." I said reluctantly. "How did you get hurt? Stevie didn't say anything about it." I said slowly. I really didn't know what else to say.

I finally got the bolt free! I gave the door one last kick and then I bolted out, running toward the stallion barn. "Blaze!" I whinnied joyfully. I galloped into the barn stopping at his stall. I slung my head over the door. "Blaze I missed you so much! What happened? How bad are you hurt? Stevie told me that you got hurt. I love you so much! I'm so glad you home!" My heart soared when I relized what I had said. If horses could blush I would be blushing bright red.

"Me too! Me too!" I said. I stuck my head over the door and watched her gallop away. I was hardly tall enough to stick my head over the door but I could. I reared. and trotted around again.
Then I sighed. I wanted to see Blaze too! Finally I decided to just lay and wait. Soon I fell asleep.

I snorted and turned to him, I could hear Belle coming and I waited, I lowered my crown as she said she loved me, I touched her cheek and nuzzled it. I love you too. I broke down after I crossed the finish line a stress fracture none the less one that has ended my career, its sad but in the end im happy and its the right choice. I smiled and nuzzled her cheek again, I am really happy to be home, that includes you too Lightning even if you are not happy and if ever you have a question about anything I will help. I turned to him and then back to Belle, anybody want to let Storm out? I think he wanted to come with. I laughed and then I stopped and looked at Belle. Raising my head to her hark I whispered to her, you were all I could think about when I was traveling and you are first for a foal from me. I smiled and nibbled her ear gentle before nibbling the parts of her neck I could reach. I waited for someone to speak.

I kicked the wall. Bah! Since when did I need another horses help! Plus I was feeling a little sick. Belle had told that grey stud that she LOVED him! Yuck! "I'll go let Storm out." I said. Then I unbolted the stall door and trotted out of the barn with a swish of my tail.

"My last race is two weeks from now." I said. "Then I'm all yours." I added with a sly grin. I whickered lovingly. I sighed. I had missed these moments with him. I undid the bolt and walked inside. "I've missed you so much. All I've ever thought about for the last couple of weeks is you." I laid my head on his back. Everything was so peaceful until Storm came bounding in.

I came galloping in the stable took a sharp turn and landed in the stall face first and then I got up and shook myself. "Hi hi hi! Do you remember me? Did you win? Mommy said you got hurt? How? I missed you! Look how big I got! I'm bigger than I was last time!" I bounded gleefully around him shoving myself between Belle and Blaze. I looked up at him with wide eyes. "I really did miss you." I said.

Well he did not need to be the party pooper, I snorted and flicked my tail and then focused on Belles words. It brought a smile to my muzzle, sounds like a date. It was so peaceful as she entered my stall, I have missed you so much Belle it drove me crazy to be away from you but I had to keep my composure for the races but that still did not stop me from thinking about you. I smiled as she laid her head on my back so peaceful.. well not quite. In came none other then Storm, hyper as none other. I chuckled, of course I remember who you are Storm and I missed you too, I did get hurt. I showed him my leg and then he was bounding around and then in between me and Belle he went, I sighed and looked at her and kind of shrugged, my look at how big you are and yes I missed your hyperness and happiness too. I lowered my head and ruffled his little foal mane, waiting.

I could hardly reach his mane but I did nip at it before playing with his tail. I poked my head inbetween the strands of his tail. I nipped at the bottom of them too before I got bored and bounded after Daddy who had his back turned to the two.

I still didn't like. I let out an agitated kick and it connected with the wall. I still didn't like him. I wasn't happy that him and Belle were together. I was kinda happy for Belle, she had found a mate and all but...I let out another kick and Storm squecked from the stall's entrance. "Come here Storm." I said. He bounded happily over and started to try and catch my tail as I flicked it back and forth.

I laughed as Storm played with Blaze's tail and then he bounded out of the stall. I frowned at Lightning's kicks but soon cheered up again. "Don't mind Lightning. He's not used to the idea of use being together. You want to go somewhere where we can be alone?" I whispered tossing my head to where Storm was playing with Lightning's tail.
