She smiled, it sounds like you are having a wonderful time and Stevie is treating you well. I do want to see your father again, she sighed softly she missed him too. She wondered if he even worried about her or if he was happy he did not have to hear her yell about something, he was probably happy that he did not have to deal with her. When she did gain her strength back and went out into the pasture, she would smile kindly at him and then move on. If he had of course but she was sure he had. She opened her eyes and looked down at her son as he tried to groom her but his movements were awkward and funny, she laughed softly, you will get the whole grooming thing down the older you get. She felt the urge to stand and so she stuck one leg out and then the other and carefully stood up, she was shaky but she did not fall, her tail flicked across her flanks, she took a tiny step forward and another but you could tell her body was shaking and so she laid back down with her son, she to pricked her ears listing for Stevie.

I watched as Mommy stood and took some shaky steps foreward. I was ready to spring up and dart away if she fell but she didn't. I sighed when she laid back down next to me. I heard boots on the concrete and scrambled up knowing that Stevie had a bottle fixed up for me. I was hungry and I needed food NOW! I whinnied impaitently and pawed the ground with my little black hooves.
"Easy Storm! I'm coming!" I called and started to walk a little faster. I noticed that Dancer wasn't in the same positions as before, she shifted a little. That's good. I thought. It was a sign that she was getting stronger. Storm whinnied again, telling me to hurry up with the grub. I laughed softly and slipped into the stall. Storm immediatly came up to me and nudged the bottle. "Ok Ok. Here you are.'' I tipped the bottle down and Storm latched on, his short little tail flicking back and forth happily. He hadn't took long to figure out that the bottle meant food. He suckled hungerily. I noticed how big he was getting. Pretty soon it would be time to wean him and then start his gentling. I couldn't wait to start riding him. I still didn't know if I wanted to train him in barrels or reining but I didn't have to decide until he was two.

She herd the boots and her son became excited, I nickered to him and Stevie as she entered. I watched as he greedily took the bottle and began to suck, I flicked my ears. Deciding I wanted to try and stand again, at least so I could move to the other corner. I stuck my front legs out and pushed myself up slowly and then I put myself against the wall until my balance was there, still I was shaking badly as I took a step toward the other corner, this corner had a better breeze then that. I felt myself teetering and so I laid down against the wall and kicked my legs out so I was laying on my side. My ears pricked toward them and I whickered softly before closing my eyes, tired I was and so I entered sleep land.

"Easy girl." I said softly as she stood and took some teetering steps toward the other corner finally she laid down, tired and fell asleep. Storm had quickly devoured the bottle and now it was time for him to leave. "Come on Storm. Let's go. Mommy's tired. Come on you can visit Belle." I grabbed the lead rope and clipped it to his halter. "Come on boy." I clicked my tongue and tugged gently on the lead urging him forward.
Warm milk flowed into my mouth and soon it was gone. More please? I looked up at Stevie who said it was time to go. Go? I didn't want to go! I wanted to stay with my mother! She clipped a lead rope to my halter and tugged on it. I reared and lunged forward then back, causing her to be a little unbalanced. She took a firmer hold on my lead and walked me forward. Stevie lead me out of the stall and quickly shut the door behind me. Wait! I didn't want to go! I squealed and reared. No! I cried. I wasn't going to leave Mommy! I had just gotten her back again! I balked refusing to take another step.
