Name: Abernon
Show Name: Shell of an Abernon (If they have a show name)
Age: 5 years
Gender: Mare
Breed: Quarter Horse
Height: 15 1/2 hands
Physical Description:
Eyes: Abernon has glowing eyes that
are a soft hazel color. Sometimes, when
she is upset, they literally storm and
the black around her eyes merges-
causing a hazel hue to form. They are
an interesting round shape when she
squints in the sun.
Mane: Abernon has a rough mane that
is easy to comb back before a show
starts. It is kept at a medium length,
but grows extremely fast so it has to
be trimmed once every two weeks or
sooner. The coloring of it is a cream color
and looks like a dark blonde when it’s dirty.
Tail: Abernon’s tail is the same as her
mane except it has a softer touch and
it owns a bit of a curl at the end.
Coat: Abernon has a white coat
that is kept glossy because when
it is dirty, she doesn’t have the
greatest appearance.
Build: Abernon has strange hoofs
for a horse that enable her to
run quite fast. Even though she
is strong, she won’t use that
advantage over any human- unless
they terrorize her. In fact, her
teeth are known to snap…
Personality: Abernon is shy of humans.
It's not that she doesn't trust them, just
that certain people have a scent that
make her wary. Horses are her closest
friends, and she vows never to grow
close to a human. She doesn't mind
being friends, but not the type of friend
that she would do anything for. Most of
her horse friends have to have to have
certain qualities to become her friend.
If they are selfish or don’t listen to
their owners, then she doesn’t particularly
want to hang out with them; they could
get her into trouble, and she can’t afford
to be abused and abandoned again.
History: Ever since she could remember,
Abernon (who was called Munchin Drizzle)
had been lent out for riders that wanted
her, not actually having a human. She
stayed at a stable somewhere in a small
town on the outskirts of who-knew-where.
The mare had various types of riders;
some were kind but clueless, some could
care less about her well-being, a few
weren’t the best people…, and lots were
just inexperienced riders- but she loved
them, because they were usually kids.
Kids could be so foolish, yet so kind and
amusing.
After she reached the year of four, a person
actually bought her. It was a man and his
teenage daughter. She cared naught about
the horse, just riding in style. Munchin Drizzle
was forced to wear the silliest objects like
bows on her tail and horrible things that
were supposed to “make her look tame
and fashionable”. By the time the daughter
found a new pastime, she was tired of how
she was treated and not very happy around
children anymore.
Soon, the girl took out her mare to show jump with her. The poor horse wasn't trained, so she couldn't do the last, highest jump. Munchin Drizzle wouldn't displease her owner though, so she tried- and failed. The horse fell and lost. After that, the owner brought her out to the wild and left her,
telling her to “Git! Shoo! Go on, horse!”
Munchin Drizzle gladly cantered off, scared to
death. She roamed for about a week in the
wild, searching for a new home…
