Name: Empire Show Name: Empire State of Mind Age: 4 Gender: Mare Breed: Danish Warmblood Height: 16.4hh Physical Description: Empire is a darkly coloured cherry bay mare with the normal leg markings of a standard bay, though her dark color fades a little toward the black on her muzzle. She has a white star place on her forehead that is often hidden by her long black forelock. Her build is very strong, yet graceful and swift- perfect for Show Jumping and Dressage. Empire has dark brown eyes that are slightly tinted with a honey type colour. Her hooves are completely black without any interruptions to the colour. Her legs are muscular, especially her hindquarters making her specialty Show Jumping. Her chest is slightly deeper than abdomen, she is very healthy and fit. Even though she has an athletic build, she doesn't look short, her legs still look long and she looks as tall as she is. Her tail and mane are long and glossy, very well kept. Her coat tends to stay quite short even during winter because she is used to being kept inside in the warm. Personality: Empire is wild at heart despite the fact she is a well trained Show Jumper. She isn't afraid to give her rider a little trouble while training, but never in a show unless she feels the human needs a lesson taught to them. Empire loves to have fun and she can be surprising at times. She is immensely competitive and will only settle for the best, though Empire is not a sore loser. At times she can be a little lazy, but that's only on the occasional day off. Empire is loving toward whoever takes care of her well, and is very loyal. Sometimes she will just not shut up, when she's talking to another horse of course. Empire is intelligent and can solve different problems which can lead to issues for her owners when they don't shut the stall door properly, she can get out that way. Don't worry, she loves any place she calls home and won't stray far, she is afraid of the unknown in that way. Overall there'll never be a dull moment around Empire. History: Empire started the way any other horse started, the owner of a well known Ranch wanted a Show Jumper to add to her line of exceptional Show horses. So she used two horses to create a nice mix of genes. Empire was the result of this breeding. She instantly showed promise when she raised to her hooves faster than most other foals. Growing fast, Empire started her training at a year old, getting used to jumps without a rider and being taught the gaits. At two years old she started the real thing, a young girl became her rider and Empire loved her dearly. Sadly in a run of bad luck, the Ranch went downhill and ran out of business; only a few horses were kept. Empire was not one of those lucky ones, she was put to Auction like all the others, as a young strong mare at three years old she was quickly bought. The highest bidder was a low life rich man that cared only for the reputation of his Barn and promoting his business by buying good Show Horses and training them to win. He had no idea what Empire's discipline was so he tried each on out before deciding she was a Show Jumper. She was put to work within a week. Though the outside and inside look of the Stables were immaculate, the feed was low quality and the money was scantly used. They cut corners where they could, though they had plenty sufficient funds. Empire spent nine months months there before her health started deteriorating and she failed to win or place in her events. The owner of the Stables quickly got rid of her after that. This left her in yet another Auction House, looking not so great. It has been three months, and not buyers. Empire just wants a good home. Discipline: Show Jumping and Dressage.
