Name: Tam Lin
Show Name: Killian's Tam Lin
Age: Five Years
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Irish Sport Horse
Height: 16.1 HH
Physical Description: Tam Lin is a big, tall, muscular horse who is always ready to go. He's a proud stallion with a fiery eye and awesome gaits, who responds to the lightest of cues and can go very fast when you want him to. His face is fine, showing off his Thoroughbred and Irish Draught lineage, but his nose is straight and flat like that of a Thoroughbred. He has powerful hindquarters, a broad chest, and a very springy trot. His extended gaits are a dream, but it can be hard to get him to collect himself, especially over jumps. He's still very young and has a lot to learn.
Personality: The one word that would describe Tam Lin perfectly is determined. He's a hard worker and somewhat stubborn, but once you get him to go in the right direction he will do so every time. His best quality is that he's honest - he won't try to jump something that he knows he can't, but if he can he will at least try. He has off days, and on occasion he will run a jump and be excited and hard to calm down. He's very energetic and pretty brave - he could make a good eventer if someone were to school him in dressage. He's impatient, however, and doesn't like marathon training sessions that "bore" him - he needs lots of excitement and exercise.
History: Tam Lin was, obviously, born to Killian Irish Sport Horses, a small affair that bred the horses for prospective owners. He was broken in by them at three years old and was sold as a show jumping prospect to another stable, who has been training him in show jumping since then. He currently schools from 3' to 4', but he could probably go higher once he's a little older. His current owner had an accident on a different show jumper and had to sell some of his horses, Tam Lin among them. Tam Lin was one of his owner's favorites, but unfortunately he requires too much exercise and training for his owner to keep up with while recovering from his injuries.
Discipline: Show Jumping, could easily do Cross-Country or be trained in Eventing. He's definitely not a "pet" or a pleasure pony, he's a serious competitor.
