Okay, Abby was here without her protector. But it would be alright. There were many people here, but she would go somewhere else where it was a little bit more secluded and Jason could not hide among people and spook her. She wore a hoodie today, blaming it on the cool breeze that sweeps off the lake. She sighed, her hands in her pocket, hiding her cast. She stood there for a second, looking at the waves that came crashing in before continuing on, her footprints being covered by the sand again as she went on. Her blond hair was up in a ponytail, a slight bruise could be seen from her shoulder however she made certain to keep it covered up. Finally, she came to a secluded spot and sat down. It was mostly cloudy but at the moment some rays were coming out and she raised her face to it, letting them warm her before looking out at the horizon.
Sighing, she placed one of her hands in the cool sand, leaning backward with her legs in front of her before switching to where she was leaning on her lower arm. She made sure that her cast did not hit the sand because that was the last thing she wanted in it, it already itched like crazy. She had decided to stay just a couple days. She liked it here, it was really nice. Sometimes her fear faded away, and sometimes not, it just all depended. Today she decided to venture out without Rudolph, and she was just a tad anxious about that. Okay more like really anxious. But she could not take her horse to the grocery store with her, so she figured she needed to get out on her own. Rubbing at her shoulders, she tried to release the tension that was balled up in there, but it was no use. Pulling up her knees against her chest, she laid her head on her knees, wishing that she could be transported back four years and knew this was going to happen to her. Knew that her boyfriend was going to change into a raving lunatic and her physical and emotional self would be harmed by it. The breeze blew the lakeshore fragrance at her and she breathed it in, looking out at the water. It was vast out there, full of nothing and yet full of everything. It was full of lost opportunities, broken dreams and broken hearts. But at the center it held everyone’s lives, their wishes and everything else that could fulfill a person. She watched as a boat skidded by, jumping some of the small waves created by another boat. Not a care in the world they had, it seemed. That must be nice.
She needed to stop dwelling on the past. She had not seen nor heard anything from Jason at all since she left, and she hoped it stayed that way. He did not need her, he had all those other women back in Colorado that he had used and then left worn to the next one while she sat at home, knowing what was going on but not accepting it. Not letting her mind accept it. Otherwise fact would become reality, and she would rather stay immersed in the storylines than the neighborhood headlines. She looked around her, coming out of her trancelike state. There were a few people around here, but not many, and that it made all the more better. [/blockquote]
