A smile lit her face, her green eyes filled with happiness as Alexandria and Tom walked the outskirts of the Pet Park, strolling toward the entrance in. She knew Tom would love to spend a few hours here, as he always did. He would be able to run and play. She checked her bag quickly as the beagle trotted in front of her, almost pulling the leash out of her hand, but she held on. It wasn't like the dog was too heavy anyway. Book yep, ball yep, water bowl and water bottle for both he and she check. The perfect way to while away an afternoon. She glanced at the park again. There were many owners and their dogs here, and she just hoped that nobody picked a fight with Tom, and vice versa. Walking in, she watched where she walked. Some people just did not know how to clean up after their dogs. Finding a pretty weeping willow that was unoccupied, she dropped her bag there, claiming it as her own spot. Tom could really have cared less, instead investing his interest in the dogs around. Unclipping his leash, she laughed as he did not move, as if he did not know that freedom was given to him. You are one strange dog Tom. He just glanced back at her before watching as two dogs wrestled over something. The trees blew a breeze between them, and she tugged at her braid, letting loose the wavy strands of hair. For a while she could have it like this. Digging in her bag she grabbed the ball. Tom! She exclaimed, tossing the ball from one hand to the other. That got his attention. He jumped on her and let out a joyful bark. She pretend threw it, hiding it behind her back as she watched him run off before stopping, stumped as to where the ball went before looking back at his owner. Alex held the ball out, a smile on her face. He ran back, ears flopping, tongue hanging out as she crouched down, letting him grab the ball as she played with his ears. I never get tired of doing that to you. She played a few seconds of tug-o-war for the ball back, tossing it for Tom to catch before settling herself under the tree, waiting for the beagle to bring the ball back. At least this would tire him out until she found a place to stay for the night. [/blockquote]
