Name: Sherlock Species: Dog Breed: Basset Hound Age: 4 years Physical Description: Sherlock is a squat dog with a broad, open face that, despite the droopy eyes and ears, is always friendly. He's long and squat, with ponderous, rolling motions. His ears are very long and his nose is very sharp. He's tri-colored, with the only anomaly in the usual basset coloration being a white spot on his flank. He wears a thick black collar. Sherlock is very clumsy, and is always falling over his own ears. Personality: Sherlock is really a sweetheart, albeit a little bit of a klutz and kind of ridiculous. He's just about as clever as he looks, and doesn't have the usual Basset sense of smell. Nonetheless, he's very loyal and loves company, and is completely imperturbable. Nothing scares or surprises him, and she goes through life with a wagging tail and a trusting nature. History: Sherlock has had a pretty run-of-the-mill experience. He was bred by a backyard breeder, and does not conform to breed standards. Unable to find anyone to take the pup, he ended up being dumped on a no-kill rescue's lawn and was taken in. He spent most of his life in their care while other, prettier or smarter, dogs were adopted. He was recently adopted by Rowan, and in her has found his forever home.
