Estelle was relieved to see that Jason's cousin wasn't as depressing as Jason himself. In fact, from the first impression -- his cheeky smile and pleasant attitude -- she could see herself and him becoming friends. Even if he was a good bit older than her. "Hey, I'm Estelle," she called out, "Jason decided I wasn't good enough to spend a day with," she added, "Would you be able to bring me back to town?"

Kyle smiled at the girl again, clearly happy about her request. "Of course I will be able to take you back to town" He laughed shortly thereafter and continued "Don't mind Jason, I think he just misses his girlfriend. Although I can't imagine he would have treated you badly He said smiling again as he reached over and opened the passenger door.

Estelle smiled weakly. "I don't want to think about Jason right now." She hopped into the passengers' seat. "Thank you, by the way. I thought I would be stuck here." She giggled. His car smelled a lot better than Jason's. "So are you more.. talkative than your cousin, or are we going to drive extra slow and in complete silence, back to town?" She asked.
I probably shouldn't be talking to so many strangers, where is my sense of self preservation? She thought, Jason had the potential and attitude to have been a serial killer. He'll probably end up like that. his cousin seems so much nicer, though. Maybe I'll get to know him better. That's probably a bad idea though, it means seeing Jason all the time. Jeesh, guys make things so complicated. I'm dying to have a friend round here though. It's so lonely.

Kyle laughed as he pulled his truck back out of the gates and starting driving down the road "First, never I drive slow in my truck, it would defeat the purpose of driving, second, I enjoy starting conversations and holding up those conversations He smiled happily and then decided to introduce himself "By the way, I'm Kyle Joe, just call me Kyle" He said glancing over and looking over at Estelle and then focusing back on the road. He could never understand how he could still drive perfectly well without keeping his eyes on the road "How did you end up at our place anyway?" He asked smiling again, he had a feeling that Jason gave the poor girl and run for her money.

Estelle giggled. "That's a very embarrassing story, to be honest." She paused for a moment to look at him. "I bumped into Jason's table at Java Joe's. I thought it would be only polite to buy him a coffee to make up for it. We ended up back here to teach me some western, but he wasn't too fussed on the idea. I don't know why he allowed me to tag along if he didn't want me around. He was so rude, too." She paused again, she could be very talkative when she felt like it, "I ended up getting very angry and shouting, just before you got here. Any chance of Jason and I ever being friends has definitely been destroyed." She laughed.

Kyle laughed as he heard Estelle's explanation "I feel a bit sorry for you Estelle" he said smiling "It would have been better if you had ran into me instead of Jason. However, if we became friends, you wouldn't have to worry about me being a killjoy like Jason" He said smiling at her then he looked back at the road, he had finally left the countryside and he was finally on his way back to town "Where was it again that I am taking you?" He then continued "I don't want to take you to the wrong place by accident" He said winking at her

"A lot better," added Estelle, "Plus, your much nicer to look at.." she flirted. She wasn't intentionally trying to be flirty, it was just a fun thing to do. "You can drop me off wherever, it's not like the town is big, anyway. My car's at Java Joe's, though." She smiled. She had a camp bed in the boot of the car, and when she finally got the keys to the house, she would be able to move into it straight away. Anything would be better than sleeping in the back seat of a small car.
"I'm jealous of your house, you know. It's beautiful. You should see the farm I just bought. It's falling to pieces. I want to restore it to it's former glory.." she laughed again. It would take too much effort. At least she was able to talk to Kyle easier than she could talk to Jason.

Kyle smiled when he realized that Estelle was trying to flirt with him. He laugh shortly thereafter "Oh I'm better to look at? Thats a nice thing to say to someone, it feel nice to have a nice looking young lady in my truck" he smiled again
He smiled again "I could help you a bit on your farm one day if you would allow me to, its not like I have anything better to do" He said simply then continued "I guess I will take you back to Java Joe's then"

Estelle blushed. "About the farm. Really, it'll take more than a day. But still, thank you for the offer. I won't have the money to do it up until I get a job though. Know anywhere hiring?" she asked pleasantly. "Actually, Jason already answered that, he said nowhere is, forget it."
She looked out the window, they were nearly there. She was enjoying herself; she didn't want to get out of the car. She needed some sort of excuse to stay a bit longer. She couldn't think of anything. "Actually, now that I have the farm I can get a horse sorted. It's exciting. Jason said you a rodeo boy? Sounds thrilling." She played with her hair, trying to keep the conversation on-going so that when they pulled over outside Java Joe's they could maybe chat for a bit. Her tummy rumbled. She now had to count her pennies to afford something to eat that night. She'd eaten everywhere in town already -- all alone -- and nowhere was really that great. She groaned.

Kyle looked over at Estelle then back at the road "Actually, you may be a to get a job from one of the large ranches or stables in this town. They usually need alot of help" then he continued "But really, I would help you if you needed help"
As he pulled up into the parking lot for Java Joes and parked his truck he replied to Estelle's next statement "Yeah, I am a true Australian rodeo boy. I ride everything from broncs to bulls" He said winking at her "So I guess this is goodbye? As much as I hate to say it" He laughed

"I guess so.. " Sighed Estelle, "I'm sure I'll see you around though?" she added, questioningly. She didn't want to seem desperate or she would ask him to dine with her. It was probably better off if they parted now anyway. She didn't want to get too attached. Or have her heart broken.
Anyway, she thought to herself, I don't have time for guys. And if he was interested, he wouldn't have brought me straight to the car, he'd have asked me out. Plus, he's far too old for me. What age is he about 25? 30? Far too old. That's about 10 years age difference..

Kyle smiled at her "Sure you will! Just give me a call sometime maybe?" Okay, may sometimes Kyle was a bit too friendly to everyone, even to strangers, but that was perfectly fine for Kyle. He liked making friends with everyone in town, especially the females in town, he was just plain old happy-go-lucky Kyle Joe Currington.

Estelle rummaged in her handbag and pulled out a pen and small notebook, "For times like this.." she smiled, writing down her number. She thrust it in his hand and put the things back in her bag, smiling, obviously happy that he wanted to meet again. "Well," she said slowly, "Goodbye then." she smiled weakly and hopped out of the car, back onto the street outside Java Joe's, and back into her usual state of lack of human contact. She waved as she walked past the front of his truck and round toward her own little car.
She hopped in the drivers' seat, set her bag down and started the ignition. She looked back again at Kyle's truck, trying not to be obvious that she was still watching him, and accelerated backwards, reversing out of her parking spot, still smiling about her day.
