Apollo walked the grounds of the forest. It was dark, the trees blocking most sunlight that was made during the day. This was perfect for him. He was able to camoflauge with the forest. Walking, Apollo barely made any noise. The leaves on the ground were mosit which took away the sound of his hooves hitting the ground. Apollow's mane was all tangled and some twigs were also intangled in his mane. Apollo stopped a little creek that ran in the middle of the forest and took a drink, keeping his ears open. Will I always be alone? Apollo asked himself. Apollo liked being dominant over his land and mares but he hasn't been able to have the experience yet. He has lost many fights and had the scars to show from the fights. Walking some more, Apollo took rest under a large oak tree, making sure not to doze off too much he kept his ears open.

Hooves graced the ground softly as a mare of a lithe physique overtook the land, ebony mane and tail fanning out behind her as scents of others overpowered her. Cleopatra stopped as she entered the land, unknown if she was trespassing or not. Actually, she did not care. She would traipse in and seek out the leader and stay until they could not stand her anymore. That was how it went. Along with flirting with the stallions and really making the other mares angry. That was just a day in the life of she. The scent of a stallion blew across the breeze, and she tilted her head toward it before dancing her way toward him, wanting some company for the time being. She raised her tail and tilted her head a little, looking for this brute that was upon the breeze. A massive one came into view ahead, but she did not say anything as of yet, just kept approaching.

Apollo slept and dreamt of living in a land where he ruled and all stallions feared him. Ya, that is how he wished his life was. Running on his land with his mares and no fear in the world.
Suddenly something made Apollo wake up. At first he wasn't sure what it was, then smelling the air. The scent of a mare filled his nostrils. Apollo loosened his muscles, knowing that she probably was no threat to him. He looked infront of him and saw no one. Then turing his head to the rear that is when he saw her. A black mare with a white blaze on her forehead. Slowly, Apollo turned around, and stood to show his muscular body. He loved showing off to the mares. "Hello there beauty." Apollo said in his manly tone but with a flutacious tone as well. "My name is Apollo and what is yours?"

He turned, she turned. Showing off herself, she looked at him with a little half smile that said Come get me Cleopatra kept her tail raised and kept herself standing there, arching her neck a little. The breeze blew her mane and tail softly, along with sweeping her scent toward him. Lilting voice covered the distance, a mere whisper carried on the wind, words only for he. Cleopatra, one of devilish beauty and a... This time the come hither smile turned to something a little bit more. way to charm. She ended her sentence. Toying with stallions was fun, very fun. And this would be no exception.

He could smell the scent of the mare before him. She said her name was Cleopatra. "A beautiful name, for a wonderful mare." he said, lowering his head a little bit. He walked toward the mare and her scent filled nostrils even more, arousing him a little. He walked up the mare and circled her. She had an amazing figure was for sure. "So what is a beautiful mare like yourself doing out here?" he said standing infront of her.

Cleo put her tail down as he circled her, watching him to make certain that he did nothing to her. I am just a damsel in distress looking for my prince charming to sweep me off my feet. A complete lie, yes. She watched him, noticeably looking him up and down. Strong, yes. Tall, very much so. The same color as she. And what of you, what is your reason to be out here? I bet one like you has a harem of his own to tend to. I bet the mares just swoon over you. Her voice sounded like a sweet harmony as it glanced over each tone, each syllable, quiet, a whisper, just for him.

I am just a damsel in distress looking for my prince charming to sweep me off my feet. are the words she spoke. "Well I am not sure if you will find a prince charming in this place. He listened as she asked him what he was here as well. "Harem? I wish. I have had no mares of my own or my own land." he said. He could feel sadness come over his body but not sure why. Maybe its because he could never size up to be his father, wanting to follow in the same path as his father. Apollo shook his head, getting his past out of him. That is the past you fool, look to the future. Look what has walked infront of you. Apollo looked up and saw the mare before him. "Basically, I am here to find a life for myself young and beautiful mare." Apollo stood up tall, tail in the air.

Cleopatra watched him, black tail slapping at her hindquarters because the bugs were now starting to attack her. Young and beautiful mare I might be, however I do like being called Cleopatra, though compliments are appreciated. She stated, losing her flirtatious voice. And you think such a life could be found here, how? She asked, this time taking my own little circle around him, kept on going, getting closer and closer to him before stopping beside him with mere inches between them. She let her muzzle drop toward the ground, forelock landing in front of her eyes, grabbing a couple weeds that were dancing with the vibrations of her steps before picking her head back up, waiting for his answer.

"Sorry Cleopatra. Well I know that most horses don't live here, only the strong can survive in a place like this, and that is what I want for a herd." He watched as the mare put her head to the ground to eat a weed. "No weak horse can live here. You have to be strong and have a will even stronger." Apollow lowered his head to meet her eyes, "and you being here shows me yourself that you are strong." He stomped at the ground, flies now attacking his feathers at the bottom of his feet. "Come if you wish." Apollo started walking away from Cleopatra to see if there was more to eat. He also wanted to see if the mare would follow.

She watched as he walked away and her neck arched again. How about I'll take my own way and we will meet in the middle? She was never to be a follower and she took off at her own little dance, slow but she liked it. And really that was all that mattered. She kept one amber eye upon him, making sure that he did not try anything sneaky. The weeds tickled her skin as they blew around her, but she did not mind. A small creek up ahead sounded delightful, the tinkling laughter of the rushing water a melody. The ebony Egyptian Arabian let her dished face drop to the cool water, sipping some of it before looking up, wondering where Apollo was.

How about I'll take my own way and we will meet in the middle? is the harsh words the mare spoke. Apollo let her do what she wished. He was in no mood to back talk or fight a stubborn mare. Looking to his left he saw the mare stopped to get a drink. Apollo did not stop though. He was looking for food, he was really hungry not eating for a few days. He could see the light that was outside of the forest. He walked to the edge of the forest and saw an open plain. Maybe not the best spot for us to go. We could get in trouble. Stopping at the edge he gave a nicker calling to Cleopatra to tell her he found some food but not to enter the open plain.

She looked up, raven forelock covering an eye as Cleo looked at him. She wasn't following anybody's directions. No way no how. Maybe she was a little too egotistical but there was just something about being ruled by a stallion unless she really liked them or respected them. Food? She wasn't too hungry. However, the idea to be a rebel and go toward the opening seemed to be almost too good to let down. Her gait moved to a trot, head down, as if searching for her own food before switching to a canter, swift and fluid, right toward the opening.

Apollo heard the hoof neats of Cleo as she moved through the forest. First thinking she was just coming to him she then moved into a canter. He saw that she was heading towards the opening. Apollo neighed really loud, moving into a canter quickly to stop her. Weaving through the trees he stopped infront of the clearance and her way to the opening. "I told you not to unless you want to get killed or captured." he yelled before she even got to him. He hoped that she would stop but she seemed too stubborn to truly care.

She skidded to a halt before turning into a trot and going toward the opening again, this time weaving through the trees quickly, turning into a lope then a canter as she kept going through them, taking quick turns. For her it was fun. The opening to the real world seemed like a good goal. She never kept her pattern clear, turning this way and that through the trees, slowing only when need be. Her black tendrils seemed to be getting tangled a little bit, but she did not care, not at the moment anyway. The Egyptian Arabian beauty loved danger, and would laugh in the face of it. She did not think she could ever be caught, and if so, the ebony beaut figured it would be just another adventure to take.

Apollo watched as the mare just flew through the trees and into the open field. Stupid mare. he thought to himself. He watched the mare but then turned around and headed back into the woods at a nice soft trot. He didn't need this kind of problem in his life. He was looking for mares that were willing to be with him and actually wanted to be with him and part of his herd. He trotted and went back to the water creek in the middle of the forest. He stopped and took a drink of water. He was very thirsty. The wind blew and it blew his mane and tail. It felt good though.
