Jason stood up slowly as he watched Alyssa run off on her horse. He called to his gelding and watched as the horse trotting over to him. He patted the gelding's broad face and then he looked up to sky for a few moments "Dammit, I screwed up again" He grabbed his horse's reins that had been dangling on the ground only a few moments before. Jason did not know what he should do, he knew that Alyssa would be long gone by now. He had screwed up big time, he had let his negative emotions get in the way of his true emotions and he had run Alyssa off, the girl he loved but he knew for sure now that Alyssa probably did not think that he loved her anymore. Jason sighed as he mounted his horse, he would have begin the long walk home, and he just felt lousy about how he had just messed up, big time. He did not drive his truck out there this time, so, he would have to ride his horese home. It wouldn't have really mattered any other time if he was in a good mood, but right now, he just wanted to crawl in a ditch and hope that the rain washed him away. "Come on boy, let's go home" He said to Cal as the horse loped through the woods avoiding the pine trees that littered the ground here and there. He backtracked the way he had come into the woods and after what seemed like forever, he pulled his gelding to a halt alongside the roadside. Jason looked over for a few moments and saw a few rain clouds rolling in. "Darn, looks like we''ll have to get wet on the way home Cal" he said patting the horse's neck as the gelding snorted obviously feeling the raindrops on his nose. Jason reined the horse in and started walking him alongside the narrow roadside as the rain began to pour down and soak him. It was a long way home.Jason wiped his face with his hand, at least he would have alot of time to think along the way
