Clayton was laying down on the couch when he heard Alia come down the stairs. It took her awhile to get down since her foot was all swollen and brusied. He wasn't really paying any attention to her since they where both sore at each other so Clayton wasn't gonna speak. He might have left the door open cause the dog didn't come in at all. Cinch on the other hand was laying down in his lap just relaxing just like he was.Then he heard her soft voice and thought maybe he was forgivin."Uhhh No that's why Its open."He told her. He did have a little sass in his voice,but he didn't look at her at all."He couldn't havn't gotten to far Alia."He told her and then when she got right infront of him he was didn't say anything other get up from the couch.Clayton rolled his eye's as she left to go talk to the person at all door. He began to grab a couple things before he would go out to find Lenny. Clayton then looked up when he saw Alia come in. He could see the worry in her eye's and before he could say anything she told him that Lenny got hit by a car. He didn't know why they was sitting here,but he grabed her shoes and looked at her."Come on get your shoe's on."He told her and waited for her to get her shoe's on."Lets go get to the Vet's Office Alia."He told her and had the door open and ready to go. His truck was parked in the front yard so he walked toward it and opened his door and setted in and turned over the truck as it started he waited for Alia to jump in."Don't forget his toy's.""He told her before she came out the door. Once she got in the truck he would head to the Vet's office."He is going to be alright Alia. I promise. I'll keep a better eye out for him."He told her. He wanted her to trust him that when they had kids he wouldn't let them get hurt no matter what. It would be different he would be a father a child would look up to him and well it seemed like it would take forever for him to be a father. Clayton pulled up into the vets parking lot and shut the truck off. He stepped out of the truck and went to Alia's door and opened it.'Come on Lets go check in on him."He told her and held her down from the truck. He went to teh door and opened it up for her and walked up to the desk."Yes, Our dog Lenny just got hit by a car. How is he doing?"He asked the vet and waited.

She looked at him I will be out in a second she went upstairs and grabbed the wrap she had brought with and then put a sock over it, now she wondered were his favorite toy was? She looked under the bed and what do you know it was there, she grabbed it and went downstairs, going for her wide soft pumas and nothing else, hopefully her foot would fit. With enough effort she got it in but it was squeezing painfully on her foot. She walked out to the truck with his blanket and favorite toy and carefully got in, I know it will be fine I just need to see him. They drove to the vets office and after Clayton had spoke they were taken back to see him, she gave him his toy and his blanket and stroked his head he thumped his tail but it was also wrapped and she noted it was shorter much shorter. She stood and moved back as the closed the cage, she was at least happy to hear he might be able to go home tomorrow. As they got back into the truck, her foot was so numb that she could not feel the pain any more, I don’t feel like cooking lets just go to dinner some place. She gave him a smiled and took his hand, thanks for taking me to see him, I think it was best for me to see and know he is ok. Alia sighed and waited for them to get going.

Clayton didn't speak to Alia anymore once we got there. He just looked at Lenny. It was all his fault that the pup got hit. He shouldn't have gotten so angry at the poor dog. It wasn't his fault. After Alia shut cage door. He walked up to it and opened it back up."Hey Buddy, It's not your fault. I'm sorry for all this. Just get better so you can get home."He looked at Lenny and rubbed his head and closed the cage door and followed Alia as close as he could so she wouldn't think about anything. Clayton jumped in the truck as they drove Clayton wasn't in the mood to eat anything really. He felt an a$$hole for being such a jerk to Alia and Lenny. He wished he could hold his temper like some people do,but him its like a bottle rocket and well he wasn't sure if Alia even wanted to have childern in their house. He would change he knew he could it would just take time. Clayton's thoughts got interruppeted when he felt Alia take his hand. He looked at her as she smiled. He grinned alittle then stopped and went back to driving. He didn't speak to her or did anything. He dove down to the cafe' and stopped the truck and turned it off. He lifted his hand from her's and stepped out. If she was hungry then he would let her eat. He wasn't that hungry anymore,more like sick to his stomphe. He opened the door for her once they got close to the cafe and let her pick a seat before anyone could come help them. He sat down across from her and smiled at her alittle. Then when the waitress came over and took his order he only order for Ice Tea. Then waited for Alia to get what she wanted. Clayton propped his head up with his hand and looked off in the distance.

After the silent care ride Alia did not think it could get any worse but oh it did. She placed her orders, water and chicken wrap. Its not like he would be able to guess why she ordered that not until she told him. The waitress brought there drinks out, and she took a sip of her water setting the glass back down on the table. Not to much later her food was brought out and she picked at it for a bit before taking a bit, she set it down and then looked out the window and then to a couple who had just walked in, she took a sip of her water again and rested her hands in her lap. The women gave her a smiled and she kindly gave one back. Alia turned her attention back on Clayton. Hun I have something to tell you. She had not really thought about it much after she found out. It just came naturally to her to start eating right and not do stupid things. She looked at him a smile forming, im pregnant. She looked at him waiting to see how he reacted.

Clayton looked at Alia when she got a chicken wrap and water. He wasn't used to her eatting things like that,but if that what she was hungry for then he didn't mind. When the waitress came back Clayton was alittle hungry."Could you get me some pie."He listen to what they had for pie and shook his head at the cherry cheesecake. It didn't take her long when she got back with his pie."Thank you."He told her and began to eat on the pie until Alia had something to tell him. He stopped what he was doing and waited to hear what she had to say. Clayton wasn't ready for Alia to tell him that she was pregnant. He pretty much jumped out of his seat with a smile on his face."That mean's I'm gonna be a daddy."He looked at her and had tears in his eye'. He thought maybe she didn't want to live with him anymore or something worse. But this news was such an thriller. Maybe not to her,but to him it was. He was happy and anyone could tell that he was happy cause he had his wide grin on his face."Oh Alia,I'm sorry for everything that happened to Lenny."He told her. He didn't want her to be angry at him no more. He hated when they didn't talk to each other or got angry. So he waited with a smile on his face began to eat his pie.

Alia smiled even more at his reaction, it was a good thing in her books. She sat back and yawned, she had ate all her food and the waitress came and took her plate, yes that means you are going to be a daddy. She shook her head and looked at Clayton, its fine hun he will get better and come home, sure he may look different with his shorter tail and he may develop arthritis at a younger age then most dogs but you take the bad with the good at least he is still alive and how were you suppose to know he was going to run? In ways he is like a child, you get angry and upset at him he is going to go hid or run because he does not feel loved or like he belongs, she smiled besides your going to have to learn to love him and trust him cause hes going to be one big hunk of love, the vets have all predicted hes going to be around ninety pounds of muscle he may even get bigger, hes going to end up plowing people over, when we go on walks your going to have that end of the leash, but none the less he will still be there and he will love this family no matter what happened to him. Alia smiled, sorry I did not tell you sooner about you going to be a daddy, I confirmed it last week but I have know for maybe a week. Lenny’s going to be a happy boy when he gets home. She looked at him and waited.

Clayton looked at her and smiled.He was so proud of himself that he was going to be a father and well Alia going to be a mother. He listended to Alia as she talekd about how Lenny was a child. If he was like a child then he wasn't sure he wanted a dog for a child,but if he had too he would keep Lenny safer this time around. He wasn't sure if he could deal with a Ninety pound dog,but dog's are big animals. Cinch wasn't he was a smaller dog,but he was quick on his feet. He didn't understand why she didn't tell him in the first place,but since she said sorry he didn't bring anything up."Well Glad you knew so you could tell me."He told her and finished his pie and placed to the middle of the table so no one could knock it over."Thunder missed you at the barn this evening. He was sad you didn't untack him."He told Alia. He had something to tell Alia as well."Well we have some more animals on the ranch. We got about 15head of cattle with calves at their side and a bull in one pasture and then in another pasture we have 15heifer's that are going to calf any day now with bulls to their side aswell. So might be out there more than I want to pulling calves."He told her, but that was the only way he could make money and feed his family So each calf counted taht hit the ground. He didn't want any dead ones either."Also I was thinking. Would you care for some chicken's and ducks and small animals around the house?"He asked. He would ask about that before he went and got some.He waited for Alia to speak this time.

Alia rested a hand on her stomach and then looked at him, she covered her mouth as she burped and then looked at him shyly, excuse me. She spoke softly, she listened as he spoke and nodded every so often, this was a lot to take in and then there was a baby on the way unless there were two developing inside her but she would not know until she went back for the ultrasound. She leaned back and closed her eyes and then sighed, it’s a lot to take in right away, I will take care of the small animals until I cant any more and once the baby is here I have to care for it, so I will try plus there are the horses but I think we can manage it. She smiled and then took his hand, and until this kid and future kids are old enough I do not want them around the bulls, bulls scary me as it is so just promise me that much. She squeezed his hand lightly and then smiled, there were reasons why she did not tell him, she had wanted to do it in a special way but she decided against it and then she got scared but in the end she told him and it was not like it was that long of a wait to tell him it had only been a week. She sighed and looked at him, I was also hoping that we could plant a garden a vegetable garden I love having fresh things in the house. She smiled and I will cook you dinner one of theses nights. She laughed and then waited.

'Your Alright Babe. Its Sexy"He raised an eyebrow and smiled. He looked at her and felt her hand in his."Its gonna be alright. You can take care of them and if you can't I will. Once the kids are old enough they can take care of the smaller animals and help out around the ranch."He looked at her and smiled. He would do everything if he has too when she is with the baby. He would take care of them in the morning just before dawn and get back inside to help her out until he had to go take care of other things on the ranch. He lookd at her and smiled."I promise, but what if he is a nice bull? and they are in the truck and not on the ground? Or if I'm holding them? "He looked at her and grinned."I promise. I wouldn't do anything to get our kids in any danger."He looked at her and smiled."A garden sounds nice. I will start working on that as soon as I can."He smiled at her."You just tell me where at."He grinned and then laughed."I sure hope so. I don't know if I can always eat the cafe's food. Its good,but I mean I like your food too."He laughed with her and stood up left a tip on the table and went to pay for their food and went back to help her out of her chair. He looked at her at her and smiled. He would always love this girl no matter what. He opened the cafe' door for her and went to his driver side door and jumped in and turn it on and waited for her to jump in.

Alia smiled and nodded, listening as he spoke. She sighed and thought about the whole bull thing, yes when they are old enough they can help out and I guess if they are in the truck or you are holding them and they are not going to be in any danger then they can be out there with the bull, im glad to know you will be there to help and pick up my slack when ever I cant do something. She smiled, I want it some where close to the house so its with in easy reach to get to and tend to it, when ever you get around to it not going to be able to plant anything any way, fall is almost here so we will have to wait until next year. She smiled as he helped her out of her chair, she limped to the truck and got in carefully. Lets head home and have a peaceful night, maybe watch a movie and just relax. She yawned and rested her head against the window, she was not tired just simply knowing the ride home was going to be long.

Clayton smiled at her."Ofcourse I will."He looked at her and held her hand when she got in the truck adn he took off driving home. He wished he didn't live so far away from everything,but it just happened that way. Plus the good thing about it was that you was away from all the noise and comotion of town life. He watched his fience' lean her head on the window. He just kept on driving home. It took about 30mins from the cafe' to the driveway. He shut the truck off when he made it to the house and jumped out and went over to help Alia out."Come on let's go watch a movie like you said and maybe get some good sleep."He smiled at her and helped her up to the house and opened the door where Cinch was sitting waiting for them to get home."Hey Cinch. Go lay down buddy."He smiled at her and helped her up the stairs adn to the bedroom. When he got up there he took off his clothes and jumped in his bed and patted the side next to him for Alia."Come snuggle with me."He looked at her and smiled and raised his eyebrows. He pulled the covers over him and rolled over. He was tired but he would watch a movie with Alia.

When they reached home, he was such a big help. Her foot was like a puffer fish, it was so swollen and she did not even want to see what it looked like with out the wrap on. When they got up stairs, she put some shorts and a tank top on and then crawled into bed with him, moving so she could rest her head on his chest she sighed softly. She could see Cinch at the end of the bed and patted the bed and he came up, she stroked his head as he laid in the space that was between them, she laughed and then yawned covering her mouth. Everything was a habit, something that had been installed into her brain sense she a baby. If your going to have parents that are elite then the kids have to be proper too. She however was not going to put her own children threw that, it was hard enough for her. Alia yawned again, maybe watching tv would be better that way if I do fall asleep I wont miss much of the movie. She sat up and un wrapped her foot, it was bruised and swollen and just down right nasty looking. She laid back down on his chest and waited.

Clayton streched his arm's out and laid them across Alia. He looked downand smiled at her. He petted Cinch and could tell he was loving all the attention he was getting. Usely him and Lenny would have to share the bed,but since Lenny wasn't here Cinch could get all the attention. Clayton was never brought up to be proper,just respectful to everyone. If you wasn't respectful you would get the belt by anyone in your town that was your elder. It was just how his small town ran. His childern wouldn't be spoilded,they would be respectful and listen and he would make sure of that. He would use the belt on his kids,but he would spank them if they needed it. That is one thing Clayton needed to talk to Alia about how they would treat their child."Alia...I think we need to talk about how to treat our childern. I don't want them to be spoiled little kids. Just respectful and listen to us and any who is a elder and if they need a spanking we will give it to them."He told her her. He needed to know how she thought about treating their childern. He smiled and reached over and kissed her."That sounds fine to me."He siad with and smile and kept his arms around her. Ready to listen to her with anything she had to say about how he would like to treat his childern. He laid on his pillow thinking alot about this kid that was on the way.

She sat up and looked at him, do you think I was spoiled? She questioned him, the chose of words he used probably were not the best, Im far from spoiled, sense the day I was born yes sir yes ma’am was drilled into my brain, I know for a fact I was spanked, slapped and all out hit when I did something wrong. I was taught to sit straight and act like a women, if I didn’t all I saw was the back of my mama’s hand. I may have been elite but hell if I got away with anything, one tiny little slip I was grounded for a month. Now my children are not going to go threw the half of it like I did but they will know to respect us and there elders and they will be spanked when it is called for. She shook her head and laid back down on his chest she kissed his cheek and nothing more. Im going to bed before I find something else to get pissed at, so good night. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Clayton wasn't ready for the big exploison from Alia. He was pretty much wide eye and didn't say a word to her . He would talk to her in the morning. So he listened to her."Goodnight"He told her in his arms and knew he could have said it different,but he had seen childern getting spoiled,but didn't even think Alia was spoiled. If she was she would act alot differently and he knew how the spoilded girls acted and she wasn't one of them and he will tell her tomarrow morning."Love youHe told her and closed his eye's and fell right to sleep with lot of things on his mind.
