Leah had never been one for big, extravegant introductions. Yes, she had a personality which could fill a room, and occasionally did, but introductions weren't her thing. Of course, if someone came up to her in a bar or at the yard she'd introduce herself and strike up a conversation, but really there wasn't anything that would make her go and introduce herself, unless asked. The trailer bumped along calmly, the occasional sound of shuffling coming from the back. There was only one horse inside, well he was more of a pony. He was a bright young chestnut gelding, trained for mounted games and belonging Leah. He was a feisty little lad with a head for excitement, which tended to come out a lot more than was strictly necessary. Leah wasn't driving the two horse trailer, but had let her brother do so. Andy was a few years older than Leah, one of the mounted policemen of Felicity, albeit one of the few. She'd just moved in with him, boarding her second horse, Annie, with him. She didn't really know why she'd bought Annie, the Trekehner was an excellent show jumper, but she'd always prefered the gymkahna and mounted games to the eventing.
Still, from the advert it was almost like she'd found the perfect place for Shamrock. He was almost fifteen hands, with a strong welsh quality about him. Andy pulled the trailer into the main yard car park, turning off the engine. He was only really there for transport, and being the traditional big brother sort. He had always been protective of his nineteen year old sister, but that was just him. Leah, instead, jumped down from the trailer cab, her wavey mahogany hair tied up in a pony-tail behind her head. She could hear Shamrock shifting his weight, the clink of the halter rope and clip. She was hoping to give the gelding some training in Western games and generally western riding. He was broken to English, but she only rode in an English saddle when riding Annie, Shamrock had a western saddle that were so much easier to do mounted games in, if only they were allowed in the compertitions.
Pulling down the ramp, Leah was met with the bright brown eyes of her Welsh cross. His travelling rug had stayed nicely in place, which was good since he tended to try and rub it off. She didn't travel with boots because he hated them and they were a bit useless for him. She didn't own any travelling boots at all for Shamrock. Leading the sprightly pony down the ramp, Shamrock merely jumped from the ramp to the ground, halting to give himself a good shake, ears pricked up to take a look around.
