Heidi--
My ears were perked, my head held high. My heart was thudding. My round eyes looked on with a curious glint in them. My dark bay body, which was rounded but very fit, rocked back and forth. I wasn't fond of going new places. But if Elli wanted it, then I obeyed for her sake. I was trying to be as calm as I could. I had never been a good traveler, Elli had noticed this. She tried making it as comfortable for me as she could, but it was never perfect. But I loved her. She was my Elli. She would never leave me, she comforted me in times of need, and she always checked on me every day seeing I had everything I needed. She knew me better then anyone else. I didn't talk to many other horses, but I did like to show off every now and then.
I swished my tail and hung my head over my stall door.
