Madison walked into the tavern. Old fashioned, but dark and relaxing, just whats he needed right now. She had just gotten into town and really needed to settle down. Her horse was back in texas, and she felt so alone, not knowing anyone here. She walked up to the bar and asked the bartender for a beer. She sat at the booth and looked around. It wasn't that busy. But still people in it. The bartender gave her the bottle of beer and she drank it slowly and snacked on the bowl up peanuts that were next to her.

He walked in. His shoes silent on the worn wood floor. The air smelt of old cigarrettes and years and years of pain and drinks. The walls were dingy, the dim light not helping that fact. People slumped here and there, some mumbling to themselves. There were groups of boisterous people, laughing and hootin over jokes that David had no interest in. He strode to the counter a few people glancin quickly his way, and then back to their drinks again. His caramel eyes peircing and almost grave, his dark eyebrows pulled slightly in the center. His full lips were set in a determined stern line. When he reached the counter he stopped pulled some cash out of his pocket. Cash, he always pays in cash. He set it on the counter. I'll take a scotch on the rocks, and I've got hers too. He said, his voice clear and strong, knodding to the blond at his right. The bartender paused a moment, taking in his italian accent and then knodded smiling, he didn't get a smile in return. He turned to her as he waited for his drink, running his hands through his light brown hair. You know, you're never supposed to eat the peanuts at bars. He didn't smile, or raise his eyebrows, he merely spoke. He glanced at her lip peircing and his striking eyes met hers for a moment and before she had the chance to answer he grabbed his drink and walked to the furthest corner of the bar. He sat at a small table in the emptiest place he could find and pulled out a lap top. Time to check the news. He opened it up and set his scotch on the scratched table beside him. He looked out the window into the fading light. Face empty, mind lost in thought. Once his computer started up he tugged off his black jacket, revealing a black long sleeve shirt beneath it. And then he began searching the local news from several towns he had once lived in. He was looking for something particular, though he usually didn't find it. None the less, it was always nice reading the news, it helped him keep up on his Italian.
ooc=sorry he's such a punk, i more people read this they should join because David's a bit of a brat.

Madison was quiete suprised that someone actually talked to her that she didn't know. Strangers rarely spoke to her. They just usually stare at her eyes. She thought it was quite annoying actually. The man who had just spoken to her moved away from the bar to a table before she could even answer him. He said that she shouldn't eat the peanuts at a bar. She looked confused, but sniffed a peanut, trying to make sure no one saw her. It smelled like a peanut and when she put it in her mouth and ate it, it tasted like a peanut. But nonetheless, she scooted the bowl of peanuts away from her. She asked for another beer for her first one was about empty. Madison took her new, cold beer to the table where the man who spoke to her sat. And what about the peanuts is the reason I shouldn't eat them? She asked, sitting down across from him at the table. She watched as he opened his laptop. All of a sudden her phone rang. She quickly answered it. Hello? Yes, you can use him. But don't use the whip, he doesn't like it. Just make sure he knows it's there. And use the saddle that I used last year at the compition in Dallas, it's the best for jumping......the ramp to the trailor is in the feed room....ok, bye. She quickly hung up the phone and apologized. She really missed her horse and she wished she would hurry up and find somewhere for him. Sorry, that was my friend, her horse came up lame and she has a competition tomorrow and wanted to use my horse. She told him, not like he'd care though. She didn't even know him.

He wasn't startled when she sat down. David was extremely aware of his surroundings and had already noted her before she was 6 feet away. He looked up, his eyes unamused, and then back down again. The blank glare never leaving his face. He was going to answer her peanut question but then her phone rang. He gave an annoyed sigh as she blabbed on. He was even more annoyed that he couldn't spot anything in the papers that assured that the gang was still at work in Italy. It's as if they weren't there anymore, and that's exactly what David wanted to avoid. He'd been running for years, and has gotten good at it, but the gang had never completely stopped their rein in Italy. Why would they decide to drop everything and chase him full force now? He sighed, he didn't know that for sure, they could just be working on something bigger. But if the head of the underground network had turned it's eyes to find him, he better be ready. He looked up slowly as he heard the light female voice. O, he'd almost forgotten she was there. O that's too bad. He mumbled, feighing sympathy. Well, it was nice meeting you.....ummm He realized he didn't know her name, so he just continued on, but I'd better being going, lots to do... I'm sure you understand. With that he closed his lap top, threw his black jacket over his arm and stood up. He wove through the maze up tables and chairs and slipped out the door, quickly and stealthily, and cyclone of dust the only thing marking the movement.
ooc= I made him leave because David isn't really that chatty type.
