The soft breeze that flitted over King Creek Ranch was a bit soothing as it toyed with the black hairs in the mane of a stallion. His black body shimmered elegantly in the sun, though he was dirty due to the wilderness. He'd been wild all his life. A quartet of black hooves stepped lightly over the ground as his nostrils flared furiously. He was a bit nervous, but curiosity was getting the better of him. His docked tail flicked idly. Powerful limbs continued to carry the stallion forward as soft brown eyes scanned relentlessly over the pastures.
It was unknown as to how he had gotten here, and only Diedrich himself knew how he got into the pastures without being caught. The only reason he was here was because he'd never seen this ranch before. Diedrich liked to travel. He'd been near and far, but never to King Creek. He whispered a few soft nickers and roamed the pastures alone, his heart beat increasing slightly as time went on. Diedrich shook his head and nickered again, still nervous. If this was a ranch, then where were all the other horses? He looked out across the rolling green field to a lot of cows off in the distance, and his ears pushed forward atop his head. He turned his body and began to walk toward them, wondering if they knew where all the company had gone.

After he had stepped on his owners foot, she had not come to see him nor could she ride him. At least that’s what he herd from the man. so he was enjoying the pasture style of things for right now. Double had finally arrived and many people had been coming to see him. So today could not get any better it was quiet it was peaceful and what was that? He squealed with sudden surprisement and galloped across the field to met this new being. He skidded to a halt and tossed his head snorting and looking at this horse who was dirty. So he figured he must be wild. Thunder backed and then stopped, what are you doing on a ranch, I would advise you to leave and less you want to be caught, the man that lives here wants to catch a wild horse and if he sees you Thunder chuckled your screwed. With that he turned and headed back to the spot he had been moments ago and began to graze again, the wind playing with his white tresses. There was not a speck of dirt on his chocolate palomino coat. He snorted and chewed on the grass watching the stallion to see what he did.

Upon being by himself, Diedrich realized he was clearly not alone. Before he could reach the herd of cows that were peacefully grazing in a nearby fenced off area, he heard the familiar sound of hooves beating a steady rhythm across the ground. Diedrich turned his head to see a chocolate and white colored boy. He picked his head up, his ears rotating forward. Diedrich went to open his mouth to introduce himself when the other stallion spoke to him. He listened attentively.
A snort came from Diedrich's muzzle after the stallion finished speaking. All of a sudden, he turned and galloped off. 'How rude,' Diedrich thought to himself. He eyed the fence between himself and the other horse and backed up a bit, then rushed forward, clearing the fence with ease. He landed gracefully and trotted up to the other male. "Pardon me, but I found it a bit rude for you to just up and leave without introducing yourself," he huffed, his deep, baritone voice ringing out softly. "And I highly doubt the owner of this casual place could catch such a stallion," he cooed vainly, tossing his head. He could outrun the man easily if that were the case. "My name is Diedrich. Who might you be?" he asked, shaking his head a bit. He was glad he had finally found company, but he hoped that it was good company. He didn't want to break out into a tussle.

Thunder snorted, the only white on him was the sock upon his leg. He was big and muscular he may have looked like a stallion but he was far from it. As the wild horse trotted over to him, he gave him a snort. How dare he tell him what was rude and what was not. The owner of this place he chuckled again there are two of them, my owner a female and his girlfriend and then theres him and he could catch a stallion like you who is all into himself. He snorted and tossed his head I am Chocolate Thunder but around here they call me Thunder, see you don’t think he can catch you, you sound just like me when I was colt I thought they could not geld me but you see they did, humans are not something to mess with and if you want to take that chance, you go ahead and be that idiot. Those cattle over there are not very nice either, bull is a mean son of gun, so your best bet is to stick with me, I may even show you around. He began to trot off and then bounded over a fence, turning back. Are you coming or not? He asked waiting.

"Into myself? You surely have me mistaken," Diedrich retorted, his brow furrowing in irritation. Clearly this conversation wasn't going well, so far. He hoped that would change. "I don't care how many two-leggeds there are here, to be quite frank," Diedrich shrugged, rolling his eyes and tipping his head slightly. "I've evaded humans many times before, so I don't see how this time would be any different," Diedrich stated, his tone saturated thickly with an uncaring tone. "I can assure you, I am no idiot, or I'd be caught up inside a pen like you," Diedrich said, his tone thickening into a dry, irritated state. He sighed heavily. "What could you possibly get out of showing me around? A new friend to stick by your side after you rat me out and get me caught?" Diedrich questioned, clearly unsure of the stallion's intentions. He wasn't going to trust some hot-headed male that was living on a ranch. "My sincerest apologies, but I think I'll stay here and navigate this place myself later, alone." Diedrich tossed his head again, his docked tail flicking. His ears rotated back and forth on his dome, his deep eyes looking out across King Creek.

Thunder snorted, I like being shut up because I don’t have to deal with stallions like you and I would never make it in the wild. He cleared the fence again, you want to know why? He was walking toward him because I don’t have the parts that you do, I can not have children to pass lines down and I would get made fun of until I would have no choice but return back to the humans. He reared and bolted away, he did not feel like dealing with him any more. A call tore free from him as he stopped and herd a familiar whistle! He squealed and turned to see his owner. He cantered over to her, she did not seem to notice the other in the pen, he stuck his nose into her hand and she passed him a carrot he chewed on it and allowed her to rub his neck and scratch his nose. My handsome boy as broken a major sweat what has you so worked up? Alia turned to see the black horse standing in the field, a wild horse how pleasant maybe she should round him up and put him in a pen until Clayton got home but then again she just decided to let him be there were not many wild horses yet and that would be bad. Sorry Thunder I still cant ride foots not all better, would you like it if Double came out and kept you company? Thunder bobbed his head like he could understand her and Alia gave him a smile and hobbled away, coming back with the hot head thoroughbred stallion, she released him and then gave each a scratch on the nose before leaving. Thunder turned to Double, Do not go met that wild horse he is a bad cause. Double chuckled, Most are Thunder. The two horses looked at the wild horse, Double stood just a bit taller then Thunder, I want to met this horse. Thunder took him over to him, Im Double and that’s all of my name you need to know. Double turned and trotted away, he is a top thoroughbred sire won millions for our owner, im trying to be nice now lets go harass the bull from our side of the fence. Thunder bobbed his crown and began to walk away.

"That was quite obvious," Diedrich snorted, rolling his eyes. If this stallion was so hung up on not being able to pass on his bloodlines, it was no wonder he was all wrapped up in a stable. Diedrich chuckled. "That's when you tell them to screw off, and you find someone that likes you for who you are, not what you have or what you don't," he sighed, rolling his eyes yet again. Another snort was emitted from Diedrich's muzzle, but he omitted the sound as he pawed the ground after the stallion bolted off.
Diedrich watched the other male waltz up to a lady, and his ears instantly pinned down against his head and his body tensed. He was ready to run if he needed to, but it didn't look like she was going to come over any time soon. Diedrich lifted his head up again, watching her release another horse into the pen. Thunder and the new stallion came up to Diedrich, and he could already tell he would not like this new boy. "I could care less who he is, or how much he's won. It isn't about the money, if you've got your head on straight," Diedrich frowned. "And did I not state that I was going no where with you? I'm quite happy by myself. So if you could, please, let me be," he replied, and with that, he scaled the fence again, now on the outside of the pen. Diedrich huffed and trotted toward the cows.

Fine he spoke and left him, to go graze with Double. He did not care if he got hurt or if he did not want to be near him. Double chuckled that stallion is one of a kind, im sure we are going to have to head into the barn soon. Thunder nodded and they started walking back, both were clipped and lead back into the barn were she filled there feed buckets and they settled in for the night. Thunder chewed contently on his grain and other feed that was mixed into it. He was being to wonder if the wild stallion would be brave enough to enter the barn and take a look at the things inside, which included him, Double and another horse hopefully soon by the sounds of it there would be two new horses joining and that would mean new friends. He finished his fed and paced and pawed at the bedding in his stall, then he settled chuckling softly to himself. He went to the back corner and lowered his head, his eye followed and he dozed off into a light sleep.
