Rose stood patiently in the back of her stall. Her left hind foot rested on its toe as she dozed in and out of conciseness. The environment was peaceful and the sounds were soothing. It was much different then the average race track scene and she was starting to enjoy it. She looked around at the her new barnmates and found them to be more peaceful. Some stood grazing in lush green fields or sun bathing in warm air. She was hoping that she could soon be turned out and to finally feel the sun on her back and to role in the soft dirt and grass. Finally she closed her eyes and fell into a peaceful doze at the sound of a bird calling out to its friends.
