Thrashing could be heard within the depths of a ragged stock trailer. The trailer was covered in rust, and it looked as if it would fall apart at any moment. It pulled to a stop, the wheels seemed to sigh as it squeaked beneath the trailer. The thrashing from within the trailer seemed to get even louder, and it turned out that the thrashing came from within the trailer, to be more specific, from a brown stallion whose eyes had a fierce wild look to them. The stallion glared out of the dark trailer as the gate was opened. The stallion did not possess a halter, it had been many a season since the stallion had worn a halter. No one could seem to get one on him, unless they wanted to exchange that for losing a limb of some sort. Instead, the stallion just had a handmade halter on his head, made of roughed lasso rope. He threw out another hoof as a rustic old man climbed into the trailer, followed by three other man, who looked just as rustic as the first. The stallion glared at them once more, and a sound escaped his maw, a sound of pure anger mixed with a hint of horror. Was the stallion afraid? He threw out another hoof, narrowly missing one of the men's legs as he was literally dragged out of the trailer. Nearing the edge, the stallion jumped off the trailer and was pulled around roughly by the men leading him. He glared at them, nostrils flared. The sun landed on the stallion's coat, revealing the mud cased brown coat. His mane had grown pass his shoulder, it had been many seasons since he had been groomed and his tail touched the ground slightly. Although he was a mess, the stallion didn't act like it. He threw out another hoof and he was dragged again.
He glared at the other horses that passed him and he kicked out a back hoof, narrowly missing another person. He was led to an auction ring and he reared at the strange sounds that his ears had heard. He glared at the auctioneer, and then bucked as he was set free from his leads, lucky for the people, they allowed the stallion to run the interior of the auction ring, he would be more or less a threat if he was led around. The stallion trotted around the ring in a mad panic as he heard the man speak in strange words that he did not understand "Mustang Stallion! Big Brown Horse, By Streakin Six and out of LookinAtLuckyStars! Starting Bid at 450$!" the auctioneer yelled and the bidding war had begun. The stallion soon started cantering around the ring although the bids were rising slowly...."I have 475$! Any for 500? 500? 500! Will anyone go for 600? 600? 600! Anyone for 650?" And the bidding continued as the stallion cantered endlessly around the ring, his ears flat against his mane once again, his legs were tired and his nostrils were still flared. The stallion was terrified. What would become of him now?

Taylor was an ordary girl with an ordary dream. Taylor wanted to find a horse that wasn't broken and just needed some love. The blondeish brownish curles flowed underneath the black felt hat. Taylor hadn't put on alot of make up on this morning before she left the house. She was wearing what alot of cowgirl's woun't waear on the hot summer day's. Her favorite brand was Cruel Girl which ment the long sleeve blue shirt and the blue jeans with cowboy boots. She did have a zebra belt which pretty much kept the hole apperance fun and inviting.
Taylor's truck slowed down to make the ruff turn into the sale barn road. It wasn't paved or anything so It could be quite bumpy and her old beat up ford wasn't making it any better. She pulled off into some grassy area where there was some room. She jumped out of the old beat up ford which door creaked when she shut it. Something she loved about old pick-up's. They gave alot of history of what kind of work it did. Taylor looked at the beat up stock trailer. She wasn't rich, she got these things from her father's ranch and was handed down to her from her brother's. She didn't mind really at all. She looked back and made sure she grabed her purse and the way she went to go look at the barns. She must have arrived at a good time cause a couple of old folks was trying to unlaod a very rowdy stallion. Taylor frowned as she watched how terrified the stallion was. Taylor watched as they pulled the stallion to the auction ring. Taylor bought a number and walked in to watch the start of the auction. She wasn't sure how this was going to work, but she knew that this stallion was going to need some help. She didn't like this stallion be terrified of everything.'$650!" She yelled across the ring. She never took her eye's off the stallion. She really wanted to jump in there and try to stop him. She never took a seat she stayed near the arena fence to watch him." Calm down...Its going to be ok." She told the stallion. She wasn't sure if he heard from all the talking going on. There wasn't alot of people betting for this stallion so maybe she was lucky.

The stallion continued to canter around the pen, and then he spooked at some imaginable thing and he turned on a dime and trotted in the opposite direction of the ring. Lucky did not know where he was, it was a frightening place, he had never seen so many humans in once place before. He wondered if he had died and gone to hell. The stallion stopped in the middle of the pen and pawed the ground for a few moments until he spooked again and trotted around the pen. The auctioneer listened to the bids "650! Anyone for 700? 700? Is anyone for 700?" The auctioneer waited for a few seconds to see if anyone would raise the bid, it was obvious that no one thought the stallion as worth anymore. "Sold for 650 to the young lady!" the auctioneer announced and waited until the next horse was brought in. The stallion reared as a rope was thrown on his neck and he was pulled out of the ring. He fought the whole way down the aisle as the men led him. He threw out a hoof, managing to step on one of the men's feet. The man hit him on the nose and the stallion flattened his ears. Where was the stallion going? The stallion snorted as he calmed down after awhile, however his ears were still flat against his mane.

Taylor jumped up full of joy cause she won the stallion. People all around her looked at her funny. Yeah she was crazy for wanting a horse like that. It was how Taylor was and well she was crazy so she knew that her and the stallion would get along. Taylor smiled at the people who was stareing at him. One guy even walked up to her and told her." You won't beable to train that wild mustang."But all Taylor did was smile at him and walked away to go find her horse and give the money to the owners. Taylor walked around the corner to the barns and saw the man hit him." Quit that. Your only making it worse." She looked at the man. She didn't care what they said she gave them the money." I got it from here." She looked at them and took the rope from them." Easy Boy...Ain't no one going to hurt you. Lets get you to your new home. Alright?" She looked at the beautiful dark brown mustang." We can do this the easy way or we can do it the hard way. But I don't like doing it the hard way so lets try the easy way first.' She smiled at him alittle. She didn't want to show him any harm and knew not to bare her teeth at him cause he might have taken it as a threat. Taylor watched him and pulled on the rope alittle to see if he would walk forward.

The stallion glared at the man as he took the money from the girl. "Good luck with that one miss. Only thing he's good for is the slaughter house" the man said. Lucky watched as the man handed the rope which held him to the girl without another word and walked away. Who was this other human? Curiosity wasn't in this stallion's nature, he didn't even know what curiosity was anymore. Lucky looked at the female human and pawed the ground several times, ears still flat against his mane. He didn't trust her, or anyone else for that matter. He threw up his brown head as he heard the human speak words, but he didn't understand them of course. Although he had never heard a human speak in that tone to him before. Usually, when humans spoke to the stallion they were yelling at him for something he had done. The stallion was edgy and wary of the girl and he snorted as he felt a tug on the rope. For a few moments, the stallion pricked his ears. Why wasn't this particular human yanking on the rope and trying to pull him forward by force? After awhile he pinned his ears back once more, perhaps it was trickery of some sort. However, the stallion put a hoof forward then he danced to one side expecting this human to hit him as well. His ears were still pinned as he held his head high and glared at the female.

Taylor glared at him and watched him walk away. She wasn't going to say anything to the older guys since she did have some respect for them. Taylor watched the stallion she knew that he was trying to figure out what was happening. Taylor watched him paw at the ground." Its alright. Easy." She told him. She knew that he didn't understand, but Taylor knew that one day he would understand how to trust. Taylor smiled at the stallion as he was trying to figure out why she wasn't useing harsh words or yelling. It wasn't in Taylor's nature to be mean. Taylor looked out the door. She wish she didn't park so away from the barn, but it was going to be alright. She wasn't in no rush. She looked back at the brown stallion to watch him try to move forward, but then move sideways. Taylor let the rope lose alittle so he could have some room. She didn't want to pull any and get him to scared than he already was. She just gave him his room she understood that horse's needed to get away from danger, but she didn't want him to think she was dangouras." Hey buddy. Its alright just calm down and we can walk out of this noisy barn and outside." She told him and walked alittle backward which pulled the on the rope which gave the halter a tug. Taylor waited until he took a step forward when she let some slack out. Taylor knew that everything was going to take time and she really didn't worry about it. Taylor looked around and saw people watching them. She glared back and spoke." What are you looking at?" She could be sassy when she had to. She didn't want this stallion being terrified than he was and all these people wasn't helping. Taylor waited to see if he would take a step forward to get slack in the rope.

Lucky watched the female take a step back, there was a defiant look to the stallion as he observed the human with a wary look to his eye. He took took a few steps forward then he swung his head around trying to figure out if he could escape. Although the stallion could not find the place in which he had entered before. After a few moments the stallion flicked his tail across his muddy flanks, no matter how much he hated humans, he wanted to leave the place in which he as in at the current moment, and he knew that the only way he could leave was with the female human who held the rope to which he was attached to. He danced to from one side then to the next, obviously ready to leave the bloody place. The stallion's eyes looked at the girl then he walked forward once more

Taylor smiled. She was glad to have the stallion step forward and was ready to get out of here. Taylor kept on walking forward, but was making sure the stallion was following. Taylor wasn't sure how she was going to get this horse into the trailer, but knew with alot of work he will be loading up and trusting in no time. Taylor walkd out the door that wasn't in the way of people coming and leaving, but closer to her trailer. Taylor felt the gravel crunch under her boots and looked at Lucky." Alright Lucky. We are almost there." She told him adn kept on walking until she reached the trailer. She wasn't sure how this was going to work. She stood near the trailer and waited to see what he would do.

Once the trailer came within the brown equine's sight, he stared at it warily. He hated those wretched things. They reaked of humans and such. His ears pinned back once more as he approached the trailer, in his mind he wondered what life he was going to be thrown into next. It was always something with the humans who owned, you could never trust any of the bunch. He pawed the gravel benath his hooves, then he backed up obviously the stallion did not like the look of the situation. He backed up a few more steps, he trotted closer to the trailer making up the small steps in which he had retreated. He stretched out his neck in so that he could sniff the trailer. He snorted as his nostrils flared and he swung his head to look at the female. What would the human do now? The stallion did not have a heart for their kind and certainly he did not trust this particular human either. He lowered his head to sniff the gravel a few moments and soon enough the stallion licked the rocks that lay at his hooves. He snorted at the repulsive taste in which had entered his mouth and he threw up his head, clearly pissed.

Taylor watched as he smelled the trailer and he didn't like it. She understood that he wouldn't like it at all. She walked over to the gate and opened it and watched him. She knew that he wasn't going to like it all so she gave him alittle slack as he threw up his head. She could tell he wasn't happy about. Taylor just gave him some slack incase he wanted to try and get away, but she was also ready for him to get away. She used some of her strenght incase he tryed to pull away and run. Olivia stood in front of the gate and watched him." Come one boy. Please jsut get in the trailer. I don't wanna fight with you." She told him. She knew this was going to take alot of work to just to get him to trust her, but she was willing to do it. Taylor looked around and remember she had some alflafa on the back of the truck. She looked around and really didn't wanna leave the stallion. She saw a guy walking by and caught him." Do you mind grabing me some of my alflafa." The man was kind enough to get what she asked. She smiled at him and he went on his way." Alright Lucky Look what I got for you.' She put it alittle ways in the trailer. Maybe that would help him get in the trailer better. Taylor waited to see what he did. Taylor wish he would just get it,but he had other plans."

He flicked an ear as he caught scent of the alfalfa. He had never smelled that kind of hay before. The stallion wondered what it was as the human held it in her hands then put it into the trailer. The stallion knew she was trying to trick him into going into the trailer, he knew it but he was near starving and the hay just looked that inviting to him. He snorted taking in his options, he looked at the female human warily then all of a sudden he rushed ahead and jumped into the trailer, rather ungracefuly. He sniffed the trailer floor and then he caught scent of the alfalfa once more and he turned around after eating it all and looked at the human, he knew he had been tricked. But this would be the last time that he would be tricked. He flicked his tail across his flanks but made no movement whatsoever to get off of the trailer.

Taylor almost jumped from her stop when the stallion took off into the trailer." Careful Bud." She told him and let go of the rope that held her connected to him. Taylor walked over and closed the gate nice and carefuly not trying make any loud nosie's in the stock trailer. She knew he would be making alot on the way to their new home. She wasn't sure how this was all going to work, but knew it was going to happen. She just wanted a horse and now she got one that is wild and doesn't trust anyone. Taylor looked at the brown muddy coat and knew it was going to take time to even get a brush to him. Taylor made sure everything was locked good and went and jumped in her truck and headed to find him a place to stay at.

The brown equine watched as the female closed the gate on him. He turned his head observing the trailer, he felt as if he was in a cage, would he ever own freedom again? A loud nicker escaped his maw as he began to pace the interior of the trailer, he wasn't tied so he brought it upon himself to try and find a way out of the trailer. But as always there was no escape, there was never an escape. Where was he going? Why did he have to be thrown into the hands of so many different humans? All of them were cruel, cold hearted creatures, the whole bunch was insane. The stallion flattened his ears, he couldn't believe how ones of his own kind, no domesticated equine, could follow the humans! The stallion stopped his unruly pacing for a few moments, flicked his tail across his flanks irritably. He kicked out towards the side of the trailer, what would this human bring on to him? Would the female try to force him to do her dirty work like his previous owners attempted to do before but failed? He pawed the floor of the trailer, he would show them, he would show them that he wasn't some horse to be controlled and forced to do unnecessary and petty thing. He kicked out the side of the trailer then walked towards the front of the trailer, he wasn't even going to look back now, he was just going to wait. All his life, all he had done was wait, and what had become of him? This life that he now led.

Taylor felt bad for the stallion. She could hear the stallion thrashing inside of the trailer. She pulled out of the sale barn and out onto the highway toward her home. She was new here and it was hard for new people to get a start in life where people don't know her. Taylor sighed alittle. She was working at the bar a place she hated working, but she had to so she could pay for her house and for her horse's. Taylor looked out the rolled down window and smiled. This was the life for her though. Going home with new horse's. She knew she could only have three at her home, but maybe one day she will meet a guy and they could have a ranch together forever. Taylor shook her head. She would never know. She turned off the highway and down a gravel road toward the country. She kept on driving until she hit her driveway and pulled toward it. Then once she got home she began to unload the stallion.
