I scrambled up from my sleeping spot on Fire Cliff. I was hoping that Ruby could follow my scent to Glistening Falls. I looked up at the beautiful almost full moon. Tonight was the perfect night to tell Ruby what I've been wanting to say since the first day we met. I stopped by the glistening water and waited, taking a drink from the cool sweet water. I smiled to myself and pricked my ears looking for any sound that might give me a hint for where Ruby would come from.

The white beauty, walked on, her nose smelling for any sent, her heart felling any sound, her ears sensing anything. She noticed Thunderbolt in the distance, her heart began to pound, she sighed but kept walking, her head low, she was scared, what would such a handsome steed want with her, but she stopped a few feet away, and just look, ''Hey''. Soon she ran up to him and nuzzled his neck. Ruby came.

I nuzzled her check, reaching back toward her neck pulling her mane gently, playfully. "Ruby. You came. I have something I want to tell you. Ever since I saw you that day we met I've had a crush on you. I want you to be more than just my crush Ruby, I want you to be my mate and lead mare, because..." I was a bit shy to say it and then it tumbled out. "I love you. I've loved you since you've appeared in front of me at that forest. Since I laid eyes on you, I've loved you with all my heart." I looked deep into her eyes and wondered what she was going to say. I really did love this beautiful white, cream mare I really did.

The mare felt loved, he nuzzled her and she smiled, but soon his words where poring out, her eyes wide, she just listened, nothing moved, not even a piece of her mane, BUT soon she smiled, and did a smiled jumped, her ears where moving like crazy and her head collided with his back, she was hugging him.''Oh Thunderbolt, as soon as i saw you i felt my heart jump, i love you too, of course i accepted. You are my Thunder Hun!''. She did not let him go, but closed her eyes, breathing slightly, she was so happy, it was so untrue, Ruby could not believe it.

I was so happy! I returned her hug in a akeward way and held her close. My dream had almost been forfilled. I had a herd, a mate, now all I needed was a foal for my life's dream to be forefilled. But having a wonderful mate was my only concern right now, my only need. "And you are the Ruby of my eye." I returned. "This is all I ever wanted Ruby. A herd a mate and a foal but that does not need to come soon. You are my only concern right now. I love you." I said for what seemed the tenth time. I couldn't believe it. Now who said dreams couldn't come true? Mine was.

She was so happy, this herd seemed so perfect, it was beautiful, her tail was moving like crazy, reminding her of a dogs, she laughed though, but soon was serious. ''A foal is lovely, would finish the family, but time does not matter, when its right we would know.'', Her mouth touched his cheek, like she had giving him a light kiss. She sighed, it seemed like the perfect night, even the moon seemed beautiful, especially with Thunderbolt here.

I chuckled a bit when she seemingly kissed me but I returned the favor. "Yes when the right time comes for us to complete the family we'll know." I said content. I looked at the moon's reflection in the water. How beautiful the moon was tonight but not as beautiful as my Ruby. A contented smile crossed my maw as I nibbled and tugged at her mane. Oh how she was beautiful in the moonlight, all slivery like. "Ruby, you look as if the moon beamed you down here to be with me." I said affectantly, loving her all the more.

Thunderbolt nibbled on her name, it felt good and tickled, she had a huge smiled on her face, but she started to nibbled on his neck, back and mane, her eyes closed. His compliment made her smile though, ''Oh my Thunderbolt, thank you, you make me feel like an Angel'', it was true, many horses call her that by the look of her at night, she was pale as the moon against it, a thin cloud of light always bounced of her pelt. She went back to nibbling him though she wanted to say something, and she did whispering in his year though she knew no one was around,''You like a Ghost, whom rescued me from this darkness'', Yes Ruby maybe said to much but she was brain washed by this handsome steed, she sighed and laid her head on him, her eyes closed.

A grin crossed my maw and I nickered in reply. "That's because you are an Angel, Ruby. You are my Angel who saved me from this world of sadness." I said. "Thank you Ruby." I rested my head and neck across her back. Maybe we would go back and forth like this all night but I didn't care. I wanted these moment to last forever. I had finally found my mate...finally had found the begining of a family.

She smiled, this day was perfect, he was so sweet. She had to, her eyes opened, and she kissed his cheek, her hoofs hitting the ground hard ''LOVER BOY!''. She though he was perfect, with the added bonus of looks. But she wanted him to catch her, so she ran, her hoofs hitting the ground, making the dirt fly, her hair flying behind her, and her hear pounding like mad.
