Kyle wondered when the rain would let up but the way the it was raining at the moment, it did not look as if it would let up anytime soon. He opened his laptop again and he started typing up things that described the two horses he owned, for future reference, he guessed. He finished everything for his mare and then for the stallion and he saved it to the computer and closed the laptop again. He didn't feel like getting up from the couch so he just sat there still "Right" he said in response to what she said to what he had mentioned to her earlier. He decided that perhaps he should mention the stallion. "I took a trip to the sales the other day and I brought him a stallion, that clearly doesn't like me" He said as he looked over in her direction and smiled

Rowan's eyes brightened at his words, looking back over at him with interest. "A new horse? That's exciting," she said, thinking about when she had decided to purchase Ginger. It had been a whim, really - she wasn't actually a horribly strong rider, and she was still attending college in the more temperate months. But she had always dreamed of having a horse of her own, and something had clicked between her and the mare. She was sure that this was a similar case, though she didn't presume to know much about horse breaking. "I'm sure he'll get to like you eventually... You seem to have a thing for horses with attitude problems." She observed, grinning as she said so, focused on the present conversation now rather than other things.

Kyle smiled again "I guess you're right. I've had another horse before Karla" he started "And he was a mustang arabian cross. He had a lot of attitude" He said laughing soon after saying so. "Actually I think I have a thing for Mustang horses now" He said crossing his arms as he thought about what he had just said. Karla was the only horse he's had that was a American Quarter Horse and not a Mustang. Soon after realizing so he uncrossed his arms "Strange huh?" he said smiling again

"Of course I'm right. I'm always right, you know," Rowan teased, smiling, eyes sparkling mischievously. She had ridden a mustang as a youngster, as gentle a little mare as ever there was. Though she'd heard that usually they had a lot of spunk and fire, she could hardly imagine one of the little horses being difficult or mean. It takes all sorts, though, she supposed. "Well, seeing as you're a bona-fide western cowboy it seems fitting that you'd need your bucking bronc," she said, chuckling, "and he's a mustang." She shrugged at his question, "I guess so."

He laughed at her statement "You must be psychic if you are always right" He glanced over in her direction "Psychics are a strange group of people, don't you think?" His Australian accent was creeping back into his speech so he was silent for a few moments, he started to wonder if his accent was a curse put on him. A curse? That was insane, it was natural for an old accent to creep up on him right? Right. He sighed and started talking again "How is your horse doing?" he asked soon after

"Omniscient, actually," Rowan replied lightly, suggesting with her tone that this was a common mistake. She laughed at his question, "Yeah, they are a little strange! Hey... wait... You are from Australia! I was beginning to doubt it a little... Nice accent, though." She wasn't teasing him, not really. Well, maybe a little. She smiled at him in a lopsided kind of way. She thought for a moment about his next question. "Oh, she's alright. She's still at the vet's, but they say she can come back to the barn tomorrow. She still needs rest, though, and she's a little bit lame in one leg."

He didn't really understand much of the pyschic/omniscent deal but he nodded anyway. Then he laughed at her next statement "Yah. Did you think I was lying about that?" he teased laughing again. He listened as she talked about her horse "I don't believe I have seen your horse before although its a good thing she's has gotten better"OOC: Really short, sorry xD

She chuckled, "No, not really," she answered frankly, uncrossing her arms and bending over to pat Sherlock, who was curled up in a ball now with his head on his paws. He gave a little grunt and opened his eyes slightly, but then fell back asleep. His paws began to twitch as he chased after rabbits in his dreams. Rowan chuckled slightly at this sight. "Yeah, I'm glad she's going to be ok. I was worried for a little while, but I'm sure she'll be back to her usual stubborn self in a little while, and right as rain."

"Suuuure" he said smiling again "Am I suppose to have a pet Kangaroo or something?" he asked jokingly. He stood after he had realized that the sound of rain had eased although it was still raining. A small bit of rain, he didn't really mind, after all it was just water, right? People needed that right? "It seems like all mares are stubborn, well some of them anyway" His accent was sneaking up on him again so he shut himself up as he looked over at the sleeping dog near Rowan. He always knew dogs dreamed and such but it always looked awkward when they attempted to run in their sleep. He remembered seeing dogs do flips and rolls and such in their sleep it was quite strange, it made him wonder what in the world they were dreaming about.

She laughed at his suggestion that he needed a pet kangaroo. "That would be... well, interesting, to say the least," she said, grinning broadly. Rowan had never seen a kangaroo, except on television or in photographs. She reflected briefly that Kyle had probably seen quite a few, which was an interesting fact although not a particularly relevant one. She looked out the window again, where the rain had stopped falling in torrents but was still creating ripples in the newly formed puddles. Soon the sun would come out, and maybe then there would be a rainbow.... That would be nice. "Yeah, I guess they are," said Rowan with a grin, "gotta love them, though." Ginger actually wasn't too bad, but she had her days.

Kyle smiled for a moment as he headed for the door "Are you in a hurry today?" He asked looking back at her. He was highly curious over everything however, he was insanely bored now. His cousin had ran off again to who know where, and well he was bored Nothing was catching his interest anymore. He looked at door for a few moments, then over to the window. He was like a spring filly or well a spring colt to be more specific. He looked back at her once more.

"Not particularly," Rowan replied breezily, tracking his movements as he walked to the door and looked out the window for no apparent reason. He seemed restless, which she could understand. It always seemed fine to stay at home until you were forced to, and then it became monotonous and boring. "What's wrong?" she asked suddenly, after a long moment. Sherlock had woken up and was standing now, stretching out so that his rolls of fur shifted up his back and giving an enormous yawn, which basically summed up the general feeling in the room right then. Rowan didn't like it one bit, and willed it to stop raining.

Kyle smiled at her "Oh nothing's wrong" he said simply as he looked back at the door again "Hopefully this rain will let up soon, so that I can go for a ride" he started. It had been a good while since he had rode Karla he wouldn't be surprised if the mare tried to buck him off, because she usually did whenever he tacked her up and got on her. Oh well he thought. He remembered his cousin had brought Cal back earlier, he thought that perhaps he should get a ride in for the old gelding he looked at Rowan "The rain should let up soon, would you like to go on a ride with me?" he asked simply although he asked rather nicely and there was a hidden excitement beneath it all.

"I think it will... listen, can you hear the birds?" Sure enough, the braver members of the avian race were starting to chirp and slip out of the safety of their nests to fly pell-mell over the fields. The rain had basically stopped, too, with only a few drops falling here and there, and the sun shining through the thin parts of the cloud. She wondered vaguely if there was a rainbow. She strode to the door and cracked it open slightly, loosing Sherlock so that he could co have a run around in the puddles. He took off at a rolling run, but she knew that he wouldn't go far. At his question she looked over suddenly with a bright grin, "Yeah, sure!" she said, a little too excitedly, "I might as well warn you that I don't usually ride in a Western saddle."

He smiled at her at her mentioning of not usually riding in western saddles "Don't worry. If you can ride you'll be fine. My cousin left Cal here before he left. You can ride him, I don't think that poor horse cares if you ride backwards" he said jokingly. He waited for her to leave the house so that he could go to the barn and tack up the horses. He didn't expect to be doing anything at all today except probably sleep and eat like he usually did. He ate like a horse and he never gained weight, it was probably one of those high metabolism deals or whatever they called it. He felt as if the day was accidently on purpose or something of the sort. ah well, the hell with it He thought as he took one look around the house and then back at Rowan, smiling all the while. Did the fool ever stop smiling? Sure didn't look like it. Australians these days.
