Name: Mask
Show Name: Man in the Mask
Age: 11
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Hanoverian with Appaloosa four generations back
Height: 17.3hh
Physical Description: All together Mask is put together like a heavy Hanoverian. He has the wide athletic barrel and chest, the stocky legs, and the quarters powerful enough to power him over six foot fences. His coloring consists of a lepoard spot Appaloosa, with very few black spots covering his body. He has a blaze and his face actually turns a more pure color of white were he does have it, and little spots form the Appaloosa outline it. He has no other markings besides the blaze. Man in the Mask has a blondish, grey mane and tail and stands at a tall seventeen point three hands.
Personality: Man in the Mask is gentlemen by all means. He is a true sweet heart and forms bonds with those around him very quickly. He isn’t one to push humans around and be a bother he pretty much does as he is told to do without hesitation or thought. Although, this side of him is rather hard to see when he is around mares that are in season, his stallion genetics kick in and he becomes very racey and bossy, often throwing his head and jumping up onto his hinds in a half rear. Under saddle he can be a lot to handle with a lot of bounce and energy, which makes getting him into collections a bit harder, however if you can sit through it and get him to square underneath himself properly it can go rather smoothly. Jumping him is a breeze, with his bouncy gates he just loves to go over things, whether it be a ditch or an oxer he will go over it, however once again you need to be able to get him to focus more especially on turns, he isn’t just a point and go pony, he requires the work to be put in to make turns. All in all, Mask just wants to please though he may get distracted he wants to learn and wants to be out and about doing things.
History: Mask was born in Berlin and spent most of his early life there. His father was a silver dapple bay Hanoverian whom was trained to excel in dressage and his dam was a solid grey Hanoverian with Appaloosa lines. Mask grew up in a show barn, horses were always hustling and bustling about and when he turned three years of age it was his turn to get into it. He started training at three years, he was started at dressage and quickly took to it, after hours of going he still had energy showing good endurance. Though he wasn’t one quick with speed however over the next four years of his life he was put into shows and trained to eventing and excelled in it with lots of heart and bravery, clearing jumps most horses feared. When he turned eight years of age his stable decided to sell him. He was bought by another show stable in America, since than he has gone through many barns and hands, staying for a show season or two but not making the full cut.
Discipline: Eventing (show jumping, dressage, cross country)
