The king auditions are here! Please create your horse before posting here!
The point of the royalty herd is to make sure that nothing big happens and chaos does not ensue. They ban other horses that are creating evil and they can take down any lead that they see fit if they are creating a ruckus. If one wants a horse banned, they go to the king or queen or whomever is in charge at the moment to plead their case. Anything else that they see fit will be chosen by the person whose character will become king.
There are no queen auditions because the king will choose his queen and anyone else in his rankings. He can create rules that all herds have to go by and rules that only his herd has to go by.
Everyone is welcome to apply. Just reply back at this thread with your application. You can add any additional information on the application that you think will make your horse stand out.
The Application:
Name: Age: Breed: Height: Why would your horse be a good king: What would your horse do in a stressful situation: RP Example: (400 Word Minimum) [/blockquote]

Name: Crusader Age: 4 Breed: Spanish Mustang Height: 16
Why would your horse be a good king?: I have a couple of reasons why I think Crusader would be a good king and of course I would gladly tell these specific reasons. Crusader is a young stallion however he is highly intelligent and he has enough sense to avoid dangerous situations that would put anything at harm. Although the stallion is very illusive at some times, he will always show his face when something great is at stake that would damage society greatly. Even if he doesn't necessarily concern him.
What would your horse do in a stressful situation?: Crusader could do a variety of things in a various amount of stressful situations. As a much younger horse, Crusader had encountered many stressful situations and this has taught him a great many things about life and its sometimes fatal downfalls. He has earned alot of experience, excluding fighting experience mind you, alot can be learned from just waiting and observing. In a stressful situation Crusader will quickly think out a way to fix the problem that is causing the stress, and although he plans it out quickly he also does it carefully. Crusader does not like making mistakes he wants everything that could benefit the equine world to be correct and helpful in any way possible. He does not believe that everything can be solved by fighting, he belives in thoroughly talking out things instead of violence. This equine does not put one of his own kind above each other. He shall treat each and every equine equal no matter the circumstance, however, he will not take too kindly to ones who betray him.
RP Example A ivory bodice carried on slender yet strong legs moved across the landscape at a high stepping trot. The brute’s mane and tail danced with the wind like banners as they flowed this way and that, following the enchanting winds. His hardened hooves shifted the earth beneath, small amounts of dirt were churned up by his clear hooves as he tore across the flat land. His ears were held forward against his head as he listened to the wonderful world of nature. Birdsong filled his ears as his ghastly blue eyes looked up just in time to catch a small flock of birds flee from the treetops. His heavy bodice came to a stop and he flicked his cream colored tail once, twice then three times as he gazed out across the blank land. His ears moved this way and that as he searched the land for anything out of the ordinary. But of course the land was just fine, clear of any intruding violence that would endanger his young life.
Once again he picked up his legs but this time at a gallop. He was exploring the land because he had only just happened upon it and he wanted to discover what was hidden beneath the lands for there was always a hidden treasure somewhere. Blue eyes observed the landscape once more as his hooves carried him into a patch of wood. He dodged the trees that loomed upon him, their branches reaching out as if trying to grasp his slick bodice. The glorious ball of fire in the sky was beating down on him although the stallion had not broke into a sweat, at least not yet. The great stallion was looking for new lands that he could live upon but he had yet to find this land. He continued his exploration and then slowed to a canter then finally a walk. He lowered his head allowing his windblown mane to settle upon his muscular neck once again. His forelock covered his eyes, hiding his blue gaze from the world perhaps this is why he was usually not blinded by the sun’s harmful rays. He could smell the pine nettles of the pine trees, such a strange scent.
He raised his masculine head once more and took in the new surroundings he had not come upon what he would call a canyon. He was surprised at how much the land had changed, had he really traveled this far? He exhaled through his nostrils although he still wasn’t exhausted, no not yet. He maneuvered around the narrow parts of the canyon, he swung his head around so that he could get a look at the deep crevice although a shiver did not pass down his spine as he observed the great dip in the ground. He guessed that perhaps long ago a river had run through the massive trench but now surely it had disappeared forever . He raised his head as he finished observing the canyon, he wasn’t exactly sure where he was he had never set foot upon these grounds before. The only wildlife he had seen thus fur were a couple of birds and mice and such. He picked his hooves up carefully into a prancing trot and his ears flicked as he heard a few rocks fall from the edge, he guessed that the earth here was not as stable as most. Finally he came to the end of a cliff, he reared up onto his hind legs and pawed the air for a few moments, he placed his forelegs back onto the earth and took a few steps back in reverse and looked up at the sky once more, taking in the glorious blue sky.

Name: Merric
Age: 6 years old
Breed: Quarter Horse/Mustang
Height: 15.3hh
Why would your horse be a good king: Merric would be a good king because he would rule with his head, not his heart. He assesses all situations from all views, not just taking everything at face value. If a story is brought to him, he won't just hear one side of the tale, but will find the others involved and find out what the thoughts are of others. Nothing is done without a good deal of thought when it comes to his decisions. Not only is he rational and just, he has a sense of honor, and will protect his home and his family at any costs.
What would your horse do in a stressful situation: Merric is a steady as a boulder at most times. If it is a danger to his family and those within his charge, he will protect them with his life, and what he can to remove the threat or remove them from the threat. If it is a danger to him, and him alone, he would assess the situation from all angles and come to a decision and a course of action based on the facts he has gathered. Nothing is done rashly, or without much thought.
RP Example: Rain pounded down in heavy sheets, hammering the ground and flooding the earth with relentless torrents. A dark figure passed beneath the falling water, soaked to the core. Thunder rolled overhead, and lightning struck in the distance, yet Merric heeded them not. The black paint stallion continued on his course, unstoppable. His home and his family was destroyed, a raging fire had ripped through his land. Long had he lingered in the ruin and ash, standing a lonely guard over the charred bones and flesh that were the remains of his brothers. The band of roving stallions had been his family after leaving his original herd. He was too old to go back there, unless he wanted to challenge his father for dominance. But why do that? Those were mares he had grown up with, had helped raise him, along with his mother. It would be useless.
Merric paused for a moment, looking up through the rain at the tormented skies. He had journeyed far, and wished to rest, but his grieving mind pushed him to go farther. Exhaustion would cure his sorrow for a short time, as it would send him into a deep and dreamless sleep.
His tired mind brought him back to the scene he had first come upon after the fire swept through. He had been gone for some time, on a trip to see if he could steal or collect any mares. Merric had returned empty handed, and the sight that met his eyes was one of horror. His eyes glazed over as he pictured it. Blackened trees stood bare, and bushed were reduced to mere charcoal twigs and ashes. Fear shot through him, and he began to search for his brothers, calling their names, but receiving no answer. His anxiety grew as his search came back fruitless. At last he came to the cliffs that bordered the end of their territory, and found then the remains of his family. Charred and blackened were their remains, and Merric walked among them, identifying them all.
Tears coursed down his cheeks to mingle with the rain as he remembered standing by the grim sight, a silent vigil carried out alone in the darkness. He had stood there for three days and three nights, not moving for food or drink until the morning of the fourth day, when he finally left his lands and set out alone, this time determined to set up his own herd. He vowed within his mind to protect them with his life, from fire, predator or another stag.
The rain began to come down harder, if that was possible, and the storm moved closer. Merric took a deep breath, regained his composure, and continued on his way, seeking that which his mind drove him to acquire. He was a machine at the moment, endlessly moving on and on. Nothing was going to stop him, now that he had made a decision. All that he had been a part of was now gone, and his slate was clean. No living attachments were left behind him, and Merric locked his memories away, not wanting them to affect his new life. Or so he hoped. Could one really tell the future?

Name: Zarian Age: 4 Winters Breed: Andalusian Height: 16.2 HH Why would your horse be a good king: There is one thing that seperates a good king from a great king. It’s all in how he leads those that follow. Zarian has his draw backs, but don’t we all, he thinks for himself and speaks his mind, sometimes vulgarly. Zarian can also be bull headed and do before thought. But sometimes a king needs to make rash decisions and Zarian is one to take full credit for his actions. He’s a defined leader, not a follower. It would be hard for him to take orders, but ideas, ideas if spoken as a suggestion could be taken into consideration. Zarian is also an Alpha and a dominant, meaning he will, if challenged fight to the death. Though with his bulk and defined expeariance the fight probably wouldn’t end in his life seaping into the earth. Although Zarian likes to lead and has his own ideas about how things should work, he is intelegent. Very rarely will Zarian be found wrong in his disisions but if he does find himself on the other end of the stick he’ll admit it. What would your horse do in a stressful situation: Well first off Zarian would try his hardest not to let a stressful sitchuation happen. He’d be there in the incline of a fight or what ever the case may be trying to calm the sitchuation before that escalation climaxed. Though if there did happen to be a successful stressful case in his kingdom Zarian would make sure to try and sooth the sitchuation with his leadership and intellect. It’s hard to defend ones self when they don’t know what is causing the stress. RP Example: 511

-scrambles in at the last minute to submit an application... for a mare...- Yeah, ok, I know this is extremely unorthodox xD. But I'm being held at gunpoint by Natavi to at least submit her name in there... Don't ask how a horse holds a gun, either. Name: Natavi Age: Five Breed: Spanish Barb/Mustang/Mix Height: 15.1 HH Why would your horse be a good king queen: Because she's a mare*, which is a lot of the problem with the current system, in her opinion. Stallions rule everything, and let's face it, stallions have one thing on their minds at all time: mares. Natavi is apart from such material concerns, and is a good deal more level-headed and systematic than most stallions. She's not afraid of most things, and she will meet challenges head-on if at all possible. However, she's not fat-headed enough to think that she's going to pull off this whole leadership business without a good deal of support from other mares and whatever stallions will follow her. If she becomes queen, there are going to be some changes 'round here regarding the rights of mares. Well, at least she thinks so. In any case, she believes that she would do a better job than any stallion as the leader of all the horses. What would your horse do in a stressful situation: If she could, she would most definitely fight whatever it was that was causing her trouble. Unlike humans, horses are not afraid to use force in situations that require it, and it is oftentimes the most direct way of dealing with issues. Wolf pack set up near the herd? Well, why not go shake 'em up a bit? After all, horses are bigger than wolves. Strange stallions hanging around? Go get 'em! If this strategy fails, then it is definitely time to use some brains, which Natavi would probably go to another horse for. Again - she can't do this on her own, and neither could any stallion. She is very determined and once she has set a course she won't back down until it is clear that it's the wrong way to go. For example, if there was an epidemic of disease she would - probably a little cruelly - turn away every horse that seemed to be sickening... Nonetheless, it would probably save the rest of the herd from disease. RP Example: 679 <- Click ^^;
*It has been put forward in recent years that in actual wild herds, the mare, not the stallion, is the leader. The stallion just protects his mares, and spends most of his time on the outskirts of his land, away from the political body of the herd itself.
